The Use of Euler,s Method for Finite Element Solution of Problems of Viscoplasticity and Creep
Plešek, J. ; Korouš, Jan
Euler,s forward scheme with automatic subincrementation was used for integration of constitutive equations for voscoplasticity and creep. The time step length was set on the basis of an a posteriori error estimate. And number of testing was computed and a perfect match between the converged step length and the Cormeau formula for the citical time step was observed.
Performance of Reduced Quadrature Elements in Creep Problems
Korouš, Jan ; Pták, S. ; Plešek, Jiří ; Masák, J.
Reduced integration in FEM is often used for preventing so-called "locking" of elements. In the paper, the properties of isoparametricelements with different order of Gauss-Legendre integration wereinvestigated. Their behaviour was demonstrated on several creep problems.
Elastic nonlinearity due to microcracks in thermally sprayed materials
Kroupa, František ; Plešek, Jiří
Thermal spraying is a process in which the material in a powder form (with particle size between 20 and 150ćm) is melted, accelerated to a high velocity (20m/s up to 600m/s) and deposited on the substrate. The microstructure of sprayed materials is complex. It consists of irregular thin lamellae known as "splats", formed by rapid solidification of the impacted molten droplets.
The way from present electrophoretic chiral separation of boron cluster anions to their chiral preparations
Vespalec, Radim ; Horáková, Hana ; Grüner, Bohumír ; Plešek, Jaromír
The way from present electrophoretic chiral separation of boron cluster anions to their chiral preparations was discussed in detail.
Symetrický kontaktní algoritmus pro řešení dynamických rázových úloh
Gabriel, Dušan ; Plešek, Jiří
A three dimensional contact-impact algorithm based on the pre-discretization penalty method is presented. It is shown that the proposed method preserves a symmetric treatment of mutually contacting surfaces. The symmetry of the algorithm is tested by a dynamic contact problem when the impact of two cylinders as in the Taylor test is studied. Comparison of the proposed algorithm with the finite element code MARC is made.
Analytical, numerical and experimental analysis of Poynting´s effect coused by large torsion of a prismatic cylinder
Poživilová, Alena ; Plešek, Jiří
Poynting effect occurring at large torsion of prismatic bars is investigated. Results of analytical and numerical solutions are compared against recent experimental data.
Tangenciální moduly pro Greenův-Lagrangeův a levostranný Henckyho popis odvozené z deformační energie při velkých deformacích
Poživilová, Alena ; Plešek, Jiří
Tangent moduli associated with the linear logarithmic model of hyperaelasticity are derived. These moduli as functions of stress determine the speed of propagating acoustic waves.
Počítačová implementace metody FEM-RUS pro kompositní materiály
Kolman, Radek ; Plešek, Jiří ; Landa, Michal
Fixed point iteration method within the finite element discretization was developed to replace the Levenberg-Marquardt procedure. Application to bicrystals.
Modification Levenberg-Marquardt method RUS for application in the FEM
Plešek, Jiří ; Kolman, Radek ; Landa, Michal
Fixed point iteration method within the finite element discretization was developed to replace the Levenberg-Marquardt procedure Computational aspects.
Modelování torze a kombinovaného protažení s torzí hyperelastických válcových vzorků
Poživilová, Alena ; Plešek, Jiří
Sress effects in an incompressible hyperelastic cylindrical specimen are specified for the torsion test and combined elongation-torsion tests. The results include the well-known Poynting effect.
