Synthesis of quantum dots for proteins detection
Šibíková, Anna ; Fohlerová, Zdenka (referee) ; Pekárková, Jana (advisor)
This thesis is focused on synthesis of quantum dots (QDs) for protein detection. It comprises three parts. The first part summaries the theory of QDs, their synthesis, functionalization, interactions and applications in medicine. In the second part synthesis of CdTe/ZnS core/shell QDs modified by glutathione (GSH) is described, followed by the conjugation with biomolecules BSA and IgG. Several coupling agents such as EDC with NHS and CDI were used. In the last part, the final products were characterized by fluorescence spectroscopy and capillary electrophoresis. The results show the dependence of the fluorescence intensity of the QDs on pH range, concentration of BSA and IgG concentrations using different crosslinkers.
Electrochemical detection of purine bases using thick film Cu2O electrodes
Gabriel, Petr ; Prášek, Jan (referee) ; Pekárková, Jana (advisor)
This work deals with the production process thick films electrodes. It is focused on the Cu2O working electrodes preparation by screen printing and spray coating - methods on the corundum substrate. In this work are described both methods of fabrication and basic electrochemical methods. Prepared Cu2O electrodes were used for electrochemical detection of purine bases (adenine, guanine) using cyclic voltammetry. The effect of pH on the detection of purines was also examines.
Tungsten Trioxide Thin Films Deposited by Material Printing of Aqueous Precursors
Martinková, Eliška ; Pekárková, Jana (referee) ; Králová, Marcela (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with material printing of thin layers of tungsten trioxide with selected templating agents. Polyvinyl pyrrolidone, polyoxyethylene(20)cetyl ether, polyethylene glycol and Pluronic 123 were used as templating agents. These compositions were applied by the material printing method on FTO glasses and annealed at 500 °C. The structure and thickness of thin films were analyzed using a profilometer, SEM and AFM. Subsequently, the properties of thin films were studied using photoelectrochemical measurements.
Study of ettringite stability depending on external conditions
Pekárková, Jana ; Brauner,, Josef (referee) ; Durica,, Tibor (referee) ; Bílek,, Vlastimil (referee) ; Gazdič, Dominik (advisor)
The doctoral thesis was focused on the study of thermodynamic stability of ettringite. Ettringite was first prepared in two different ways and then exposed in chosen environments. Furthermore, the stability of ettringite in interaction with calciumsilicates was investigated. As ettringite can be formed as a hydration product of fluidized bed fly ash, the properties of Portland fly ash cement in comparison with Portland cement and Portland slag cement were investigated at the end of the thesis.
Dielectric layers fabricated by material printing
Olejníková, Marie ; Pekárková, Jana (referee) ; Dzik, Petr (advisor)
This master‘s thesis deals with the use of the material printing method for fabrication of dielectric films. Final high- dielectric composite film consisted of BaTiO3 based inkjet-printed layer and spin-coated polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) layer. The effect of ball-milling on BaTiO3 suspension was studied by DLS a XRD methods. Printing formulation and parameters of inkjet printing were optimized with respect to the surface morphology of printed BaTiO3 films using contact profilometry method. Impedance analysis was used to determine the value of effective dielectric constant of the final dielectric composite film using thin film capacitor structure. Effective dielectric constant of composite dielectric film was 4,9 ± 0,4.
Electroassisted photocatalysis
Filipská, Markéta ; Pekárková, Jana (referee) ; Dzik, Petr (advisor)
This thesis is focused on fotoelectrochemical cells, where as photocathode is used titanium dioxide coated on conductive FTO glass and as counter electrode is used gold electrode. Thesis is also focused on relationship between intensity of irradiation and Faradaic efficiency and also influence of the overvoltage to the rate of degradation od the model pollutant, in this case Acid Orange 7. Electrical properties were measured by recording values of photocurrent. The aim of this thesis was to study influence material composition of photoanode and connection with intensity of irradiation, rate of degradation proces of model pollutant and current.
Synthesis and properties of tungsten tioxide layers originating from colloid dispersions
Papák, Jiří ; Pekárková, Jana (referee) ; Dzik, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with preparation and characterization of tungsten oxide thin layers originating from colloid dispersions. Thin layers were prepared from a commercially available precursor by spin coating or on a material printer Dimatix. The properties of the prepared layers were monitored by profilometry, scanning electron microscope (SEM), X-ray crystallography (XRD) and electrochemical measurements.
Printed transparent oxide conductors
Bartoš, Radim ; Pekárková, Jana (referee) ; Dzik, Petr (advisor)
Thin films of tin oxide doped by fluorine or antimony were prepared by spincoating technique and material printing technique. Plenty of inorganic and organic coumpouds were used as precursors of fluorine and antimony. Sheet resistence of films were measured by 4-probe method and film thickness were determined by contact profilometer. Films were analyzed by Xray diffraction (XRD) and scan electron microscopy (SEM).
Synthesis and properties of tungsten tioxide layers fabricated by the sol-gel process
Hesková, Helena ; Pekárková, Jana (referee) ; Dzik, Petr (advisor)
This work deals with the optimization of the preparation process of WO3 layers by the sol-gel method and their properties. Several precursor solutions were prepared which were applied to the substrate by spin-coating and drop-casting. The deposited layers were annealed at 450°C until complete degradation of the polymer matrix contained in the precursor. The structure of the layers was observed by scanning electron microscopy, their composition by the X-ray diffraction and their thickness was determined by profilometry. The properties of the prepared layers were also investigated by photoelectrochemical measurements.
