Converter for DC Welding
Siuda, Petr ; Vorel, Pavel (referee) ; Patočka, Miroslav (advisor)
This master´s thesis with the peripheral and structural design of power converter that will be used for DC welding. The drive itself is based on the principle of two single-acting permeable converters operating in counter strokes to a mutual load. The inverter operates at a frequency of 60kHz, and its output current can be controlled from 0 - 100A. Welder is equipped with a variable constant current or power adjustment. The device is powered from a single-phase 230V.
Switch mode supply
Folprecht, Martin ; Martiš, Jan (referee) ; Patočka, Miroslav (advisor)
This master´s thesis describes switch mode power supply. The aim of this master´s thesis is the design and the construction of the switch mode power supply, which will be used as a laboratory tool.
Switch mode supply
Polovka, Maroš ; Martiš, Jan (referee) ; Patočka, Miroslav (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the design of a switch-mode power supply. The aim is to test a circuit that uses a serial connection of multiple converters on the input side.
Battery Arc Welder
Hrdina, Adam ; Patočka, Miroslav (referee) ; Vorel, Pavel (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with the design and fabrication of DC arc welder supplied from its own rechargeable battery. Battery cells’ type is LiFePO4 which can provide high currents even at relatively low capacity. The BMS circuits are designed within the battery. Major power part of the welder is a step-down converter with synchronously switching low transistors at the position of free-wheel diode. The converter operates at 100 kHz frequency. The current of the battery welder can be regulated in the range from 0 to 120 A.
Updating the capacity model of roundabouts
Patočka, Miroslav ; Bačová, Katarina (referee) ; Kumpošt, Petr (referee) ; Radimský, Michal (advisor)
The doctoral thesis deals with a new approach to the characteristics of traffic flows at roundabouts in relation to the capacity estimation. The currently used methodology, which was introduced in 1973 by Werner Siegloch, is based on imprecise assumptions and simplifications, which may ultimately distort the results of capacity assessments carried out according to the existing valid national regulation. This thesis uses not only an innovative procedure for obtaining empirical data by image analysis using so-called computer vision, but above all, the process of gap-acceptance of main-stream time clearances by minor stream vehicles is solved as a stochastic phenomenon. This approach aims to replace the deterministic values of the critical gap and follow-up headway with an appropriate probability density function that will meet empirical data in the best way.
Study of the intersection of road I/38 with road III/40826 in Kravsko
Oravcová, Ivana ; Patočka, Miroslav (referee) ; Smělý, Martin (advisor)
The aim of the diploma thesis is to develop a study of the intersection od road I/38 with road III/40826, including bus stops, which are located at the intersection. The study will have 3 variants –intersection with pedestrian crossings, circular and extra-level. The reason for the study is the dangerous arrangement of the current state.
Modification of the intersection of Palackého and Krátká streets in Holešov
Dlhopolček, Michal ; Patočka, Miroslav (referee) ; Smělý, Martin (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor study is to design renovation of a T intersection of roads II/432 and II/438 in city Holešov. The intersection is on the west side of the city Holešov, which is located twenty kilometers north from regional city Zlín. Solution of the intersection are not convenient, especially for trucks connecting from street Krátká to center of city Holešov. Which creates traffic jams long around 175 m and reach near rail crossing, thereby creating an additional traffic risk. From three variations, was choosen one that fulfils all requests, like smoother conection to intersection, safety ride in roundabout. Increasing the capacity and ensuring sufficient quality of the intersection from the side way and even the main roads.
Blansko - roundabout Masarykova x Susilova
Kočiš, Michal ; Patočka, Miroslav (referee) ; Smělý, Martin (advisor)
The subject of the thesis is a design of variants of the solutions of the existing intersection streets of Masarykova, Sušilova and Nádražní in the town of Blansko. The reason for its processing is to find out the possibility of a prospective solution of the intersection. The output of the work is proposed two variants and their comparison in terms of capacity and traffic. The work also contains an evaluation of the traffic survey, capacity assessment of prospective intensities, price estimation of both variants and verification of the passage of the roundabout. The proposed variants improve static transport in the area.
Revitalization of the Padělky housing estate in Ždánice
Culek, Lukáš ; Patočka, Miroslav (referee) ; Smělý, Martin (advisor)
The main point of this diploma thesis is revitalization of housing estate called Padělky in Ždánice. The housing estate is located in the northwestern part of the village. There are nine roads in zone 30. Two of them were already repaired in the first stage. The housing estate is without a transport solution and without the possibility of legal parking. Now the roads are devastated, there are potholes, holes and cracks. Six roads were reconstructed, two were extended. This brought the possibility of detours and improved transport. The new design legalizes the parking space. There are new built parking spaces, too. Conditions for the inhabitants of the housing estate are improving. There are new trees, bushes, rosary, furniture and waste bins. The public lighting will be replaced.
EU music policy and the coronavirus crisis: LiveEurope case study
Patočka, Miroslav ; Tomalová, Eliška (advisor) ; Váška, Jan (referee)
This master's thesis deals with the development of EU's music policy and investigates one of its projects, the Liveurope platform. Liveurope is an initiative supporting music venues across Europe in their effort to promote emerging, up-and-coming European artists and thus significantly contributes to the development of European diversity in the area of live music. Since its establishment in 2014, the platform has undergone significant development, but as a result of the Coronavirus crisis, which has led to closure of venues and restrictions of cross- border free movement, it has been subjected to an unprecedented test of viability. It is within this context that the case is being investigated, during the time period of March 2020 to May 2021, in order to answer the research question: "Was the transnational Liveurope project, supported by the EU music policy, able to react to the Coronavirus crisis and keep on fulfilling its objectives in the unprecedented context of this crisis? The theoretical part of the thesis analyzes the academic debate on cultural policy, the role of music within the social sciences and music policy. As the EU music policy is an under-researched field, the thesis analyzes its historical development and current state for the contextualization of the case study of Liveurope...
