Education of patients with homocystinuria

My bachelor thesis deals with the issue of education of patients and parents of underage patients with homocystinuria. It focuses on the nursing role of a nurse in a metabolic ambulance, where these patients are dispensarized. The theoretical part describes inherited metabolic disorders (IMD), especially homocystinuria, and characterizes general education as well as education aimed at patients with homocystinuria. The practical part was realized by questionnaire survey of patients and parents (legal representatives) of minors by anonymous non-standardized questionnaire of my own composition. The criterion for addressing and selecting respondents was the confirmed diagnosis of homocystinuria. Due to the small incidence (1:83 000) of this disease in the Czech Republic (CR), there were twenty respondents. The aim of the research was to find out if these patients are sufficiently educated and if the patients prefer other forms of education in this area than they have been used to date. The individual results of research were analyzed and presented in the form of graphs and tables. Providing accommodation under the framework La Strada ČR for trafficed persons who have been granted asylum

Azylové bydlení patří mezi jednu z velmi potřebných sociálních služeb. Obzvláště uživatelé, kteří přicházejí do organizace bez jakéhokoli zázemí tuto službu velmi vítají. Ve své práci představuji azylové bydlení pro obchodované osoby v rámci organizace La Strada, jejíž jsem zaměstnankyní. Protože je tato služba součástí celku, uvádím ve své práci také stručných přehled ostatních služeb, které organizace poskytuje. Pro pochopení situace obchodovaných osob mi připadá důležité představit také problematiku obchodu s lidmi obecně a celkově. Tomu se věnuji v úvodu práce. Část práce věnuji také problematice prostituce a to z toho důvodu, že většina žen - uživatelek přichází do organizace z prostředí sexuálního průmyslu. V praktické části práce se v rámci strukturovaného rozhovoru snažím ověřit vhodné nastavení pravidel vzhledem k azylovému bydlení a také důležitost přítomnosti profesionálů v azylovém bytě v rámci nočních služeb. Rozhovor jsem analyzovala a interpretovala kvalitativně. Přesto, že výstupy z rozhovoru se mohou zdát užitečné spíše pro vnitřní potřeby organizace, věřím, že práce jako celek dokáže problematiku obchodu s lidmi a sociální práci v této oblasti přiblížit i laikům, kteří se s ní doposud nesetkali.

Early intervention system

The aim of this project is to introduce a "System of early intervention" using methodology assigned by the Home Office. The System of early intervention is a process of work and communication in the area of social and legal protection of children and juvenils and fraud prevention. I am describing my reasons for the creation of this project and its general set up for the Czech Republic. The project is relevant to the problems of endangered and delinquant children and juveniles, and I am explaining the terms related to the subject in this introduction accordingly. In the next section I will target the development of fraud in the Czech Republic and I will mention some examples of foreign countries for comparison. Due to several departments being involved in the execution of this project, I am further introducing their activity in connection with the system. After introduction with the project on a general level, I will focus on concrete examples of work in the way that is being implemented in the Town district Prague 2. To comply with the title of my work, I am practically addressing the comparison of the System of early intervention in the nine towns in which the project has already been implemented.
