Reflective insulations for effective use in low energy buildings
Kalánek, Jiří ; Ingeli,, Rastislav (referee) ; Šťastník, Stanislav (referee) ; Ostrý, Milan (advisor)
The dissertation thesis is focused on thermal insulating properties of reflective insulation under boundary conditions typical for low-energy buildings. In the introductory part of this thesis the attention is focused on the heat transfer process. There is described primarily heat transfer by radiation. There is also described the reflective insulation and the methods of determination their thermal performance. The remaining part of the thesis deals with the analysis of the results obtained in experimental measurements. Measurement results are compared with the calculation model. Conclusions for technical practice including possibilities of further research are summarized in the final section.
New detached house wit hair studio
Chadima, Tomáš ; Šteffek, Libor (referee) ; Ostrý, Milan (advisor)
The subject of the thesis is a design of a two storey family house without basement with a hairdresser´s salon. The building is situated in the middle of the Poříčí u Litomyšle, c.a. Poříčí u Litomyšle. The living area of the house dedicated for permanent living is suitable for 6 people. The hairdresser´s salon is designed for one person. The entrance to the building has wheelchair access. There are 2 parking spots, one is designated for people with reduced mobility and orientation. The building is based on strip foundations which are placed in a frost line. The bricked construction system is made of polished ceramic blocks Heluz. The house is insulated by a contact system from EPS. Internal partition walls and the ceiling structure are also made of the system Heluz. Roofing of the building above the 1st over ground floor is solved by a single-layer green flat roof. The gabled roof above the 2nd over ground floor is made of trussed girder. The design of the house includes a garage designated for two cars. The thesis includes seminar work which evaluates constructions from the point of view of thermal technology and acoustics.
Extension of Elementary School
Kuchařík, David ; Kalánek, Jiří (referee) ; Ostrý, Milan (advisor)
The thesis is focused on the design and elaboration of the project documentation of the extension of the elementary school, which is located in Starý Plzenec. The documentation contains requirements according to valid regulations. The proposal is based on the investor's request, which was published as part of the architectural competition announcement. A new building with 1 underground and 3 floors, forming the Y-shaped ground plan, is located on a slightly sloping terrain. In the building there are cloakrooms, kitchen, dining room, 4 main and 4 professional classrooms and hygienic and technical background. The project proposes a slight modification of the existing building. This proposal solves the barrier-free accessibility of both buildings, except for the attic classroom of the existing building. The project also counts from the second construction phase, the construction of a sports hall on the schools premises, which is still not dealt with. In proposal is a new main entrance to the building from the southern side. The support system is wall-mounted. The perimeter walls are made of monolithic concrete connected to concrete monolithic horizontal bearing structures. The inner bearing walls are made of ceramic blocks. The building is covered with a single-layer flat roof with a vegetation layer. The thermal insulation of the building is solved by a thermal insulation system with a ventilated facade. Fire safety, energy saving and thermal protection are provided.

Kindergarten Pastelka
Brandtnerová, Jana ; Kalánek, Jiří (referee) ; Ostrý, Milan (advisor)
The aim of my master's project is to design a new building of kindergarden with nearly zero energy consumption. The project consists of three main parts. The first part is to create project documentation. The building is designed regarding to architectural expression. The kindergarden is split into two departments each for twenty children. It is single storey building with saddle roof. It is based on concrete foundation and under them there is foam glass. External walls are made of sand-lime blocks which are insulated with a contact thermal insulation system. The second part is to assess the energy performance of the building and usage of energy from renewable sources. The building uses ground source heat pump as a heating, air is provided by mechanical ventilation with heat recovery and eleckricity is partly provided by a photovoltaic system. The last part of master's project evaluates the building by the method of multi–criteria analysis. For this evaluation I used national method SBToolCZ.
Municipality Leopoldov
Prosnanová, Dominika ; Kalánek, Jiří (referee) ; Ostrý, Milan (advisor)

The municipality building has two aboveground floors and the library is designed as a single-floor structure. Both are designed to be barrier-free. The construction system is made out of limestone-sand blocks. The ceilings are mostly made out of prestressed ceiling panels, except for the first floor of the municipality, where the prestressed panel ceiling is combined with monolithic ceiling plates made out of reinforced concrete. The roof of the library is projected as a green roof with a terrace and the municipality has a flat deck roof with river gravel.
Kindergarten Říčany
Tylčer, Radim ; Sukop, Lukáš (referee) ; Ostrý, Milan (advisor)
The aim of this Master's thesis is to prepare project documentation for the building permit of a kindergarten with near-zero energy consumption. The thesis consists of three parts. The first part includes architectural and structural designs. The kindergarten is a detached single-storey building with flat green roof. Its designed capacity is 40 children in two sections. The building will have concrete strip foundations, ceramic masonry walls and reinforced concrete roof slabs. The facade will be ventilated with cladding made of fiber-cement panels. The second part deals with the design of building services and the assessment of the building energy performance. The building will ulitize air water heat pumps for space and domestic hot water heating, mechanical ventilation with heat recovery for air supply, and photovoltaic plant will partially cover its electricity consumption. Lighting and a rainwater management system have been designed too. The building will use LED lighting and rainwater will be used for watering green areas and flushing toilets. The final part of the thesis involves multi-criteria evaluation of the building SBToolCZ methodology. Environmental criteria, social criteria, location, economy, and management were assessed. For a better assessment of the building were designed a green roof, ventilated facade, energy-efficient renewable sources, partially environmentally friendly materials, electric vehicle charging stations, and so on.
Kindergarten Žabka
