The adaptation of child in foster family care

The theme of this diploma thesis is Substitute Family Care. In the theoretical part I deal with the progression of substitute family care from history to current legal standarts of childcare. Then I deal with current overview of substitute family care and present its current form. The practical part shows important moments in the lives of surrogate mothers and gives an overview of the responses of children during the period of adaptation.

Leisure time activities of elderly people and their influence on depression

The scope of this thesis are leisure-time activities of the elderly people and the amount of depression in the elderly people, who spend their time on leisure-time courses. The thesis contains a survey of the current knowledge regarding the elderly people and ageing. At this point, it is focused on the changes, which are closely tied to growing old, on adaptation to these changes, and it brings a survey of programs and organizations oriented at this phenomena. The third part of the thesis states the general aspects of depression, and then discusses the differences imposed by the old age. The fourth part is devoted to the research conducted in two of the leisure-time centers in Prague. The goal of the research was to map the group of elderly people, who attend the courses in these centers, and to find out, whether there is a relation between the depression and the leisure-time activities.

The veneration to life - the right to life of unborns

The diploma thesis "The veneration to life - the right to life of unborns" deals with problems of abortions from an ethical perspective. Problems of abortion are described in the broad context. In the first chapter I deal with the description of important definitions and concepts. Part of the work also addresses the beginning of biological life, and describes the history and approaches to early human life. The main part of the work presents methods of abortions and the possible risks of surgery. Important is also the part that introduces tha cause and circumstances of abortions. In my work, I also focused on the prevention of abortion, which is just contraception. In the ninth chapter describes the positron of - choice and pro - life. Tenth chapter is devoted to legislation in the Czech Republic. In summary, the work shows the moral problem of abortions. Based on these findings, different views leads to a conclusion of which I include how to deal with this moral problem.

Suicide like consequence of mobbing

Diplomová práce s názvem "Sebevražda jako důsledek mobbingu" se zabývá problematikou vlivu psychického teroru na pracovišti na sebevraždu jedince. Celková problematika jak sebevražd a také mobbingu je nastíněna v širších souvislostech. Práci jsem pomyslně rozdělila do dvou hlavních částí, z nichž první se věnuje sebevraždám. Vymezuji zde přístupy k sebevraždám, vývojové tendence sebevražedného jednání, způsoby a formy suicidálního jednání. Věnuji se také sociologickému pohledu na sebevraždu, tak jak jej vnímal Durkheim anebo Masaryk. Druhá část mé diplomové práce je zaměřena na popis a vysvětlení problému mobbingu. Snažila jsem se popsat, co to mobbing přesně je, jaké jsou jeho spouštěče a jaký má vztah k šikaně. Rozebrány jsou zde také fáze mobbingového procesu, jeho strategie a také důsledky. V závěru této části jsem se zaměřila také na obranu proti mobbingu ve světě a také u nás. Úplně poslední kapitola mé práce je věnována přímé souvislosti sebevraždy a mobbingu.

Cultural phenomenon of tattoo

The theoretical basis is divided into five chapters. Chapters are termed historical tattoo, religious, criminal and practical tattoo. In last chapter, the five one I mention information of the world of tattoo. In historical and religious chapters I try to show tattoo not just like excess of modern times but that it concerns deep tradition and history. In chapter termed criminal tattoo I try to write up utmost pieces of information about problems of criminal tattoo because this one is not charted in Czech republic yet. In practical chapter I find out an appearance of modern tattoo. The styles, process and not least how to clear out the tattoo. Practical part means question forms which show minds and attitudes about tattoo in young generation after evaluation. I want to know attitudes of young generation and its liberal or illiberal minds.

Communication Strategy for Professional Work with People suffering from Alzheimer's Disease

Alzheimer's Disease belongs to the most common forms of dementia. The occurence of this disease rises with increasing life expectancy of population. The reason of this Thesis is to point out some issues, which are caused by this disease and have some implication in the daily life. It is possible to show available forms of communication with pleople suffering from Alzheimer's Disease. I have focused on the most convenient approaches - I mean the human approach, which is involved in Validation techniques. It describes other methods such as Basal Stimulation and Reminiscence therapy as well. The Special communication strategies are offered at the end of this Thesis.

Old Age and Contemporary Society

Development of community can be understood from the level of care of seniors. This study is focused on questions concerning this problem. The questions how today's society is opened to older people, how seniors are concerned in everyday life of the society, which services and care are accessible to seniors in our society are studied. Gerontology, processes of aging and sicknesses connected with it are also mentioned. The main goal of the work is to present a new view on broad issue of growing old and old age in contemporary society. The study starts from The Czech National Program of Preparation for Old Age 2003-2007 and observes how i t is successful to carry out this program. Also further current problems connected with aging are studied.
