Czech Illustrated Book for Children

The bachelor thesis deals with current approaches to the book as such and gradually focouses mainly on making books for children and youth. It presents Czech illustrators and creators of artist's books. The key element of the work is the interconnection of content through illustration and photography. The content of the book is intended primarily for children and it is demonstrated by a selection of Czech authors and their work, in which they connect text, ilustration and photography. Theoretical knowledge of this work is based on the practical part with the aim to create an artist's book for children using photography. Through an illustrated story, it introduces the principle of camera obscura and presents instructions for assembling a pinhole camera. The didactic method then presents and implements ideas for the application of photography in art education through two art tasks.
