Enzyme activity of recombinant enzymes. Influence of histidine tag.

Vladimír Wsól, Ph.D. Title of diploma thesis: Enzymatic activity of recombinant enzymes. Evaluation of His- tag influence. AKR1B1, AKR1C1 and AKR1C3 are three representatives from 15 human enzymes of AKR superfamily, so far described. In the body they take part in a number of biochemical pathways and their substrates include both xenobiotics and endogenous compounds. Reduction of glucose to sorbitol catalyzed by AKR1B1 is associated with the development of secondary diabetic complications. AKR1B1 is also involved in cardiotoxic effect of the cytostatic drug daunorubicine. AKR1C1 is physiologically responsible for the conversion of progesterone to less efficient 20α- hydroxyprogesterone, thereby regulates progestational activity. Overexpression of AKR1C1 may be connected with resistance to certain cytostatic agents. AKR1C3 in human catalyzes a reaction in which testosterone and 5α-DHT is formed and it is also associated with development of several cancer types. Design of mounting table for assembly of printing block onto hub according to micropoint

The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to create a draft for the design of mounting table for assembly of printig plate onto sleev according to microdot for newly designed mounting machine made by company Soma Engineering. The first part of the thesis includes the profile of the company, the principle of flexoprint and overview of other companies‘ machines. The second part focused on draft of possible versions of the solution, their pros and cons and estimated costs of individual solution. The third parst of thesis is dedicated to a chosen version and its detailed elaboration.

TOWNHOUSE ON THE WATERFRONT IN PŘEROV

Main function of the house is living. House consists of three masses, which form the letter U, in the middle with quiscent atrium. Atrium is at the level of 2 floor, under the atrium is parking. The masses ,away from the south, rise. Southern is the lowest mass, doesnt shade the atrium. Mass in the background is the highest, overlooking the city.

Subject of this thesis is an urban and architectural design of buildings vacant lot at the corner intersection of streets Brabansko - A small splint near the city center of Přerov. Apartment Building Front Street closes and completes residential block. There are shops, facilities of the apartment building and garage. Above the shops are perched three floors forward of mass housing with 13 apartments.

Obnova malých a středních měst na Jižní Moravě a v Dolním Rakousku

40% všech obyvatel EU žije v malých a středních městech o 10tis.- 50tis.obyvatel. V ČR žije 70% obyvatel ve městech, přes 16% všech obyvatel ČR žije v malých městech do 10tis. obyvatel. 391 malých měst do 10tis.obyvatel tvoří 75% všech českých měst. Specifičností plánování rozvoje malých a středních měst jsou nízké rozpočty na řešení velkých problémů. Celkový trend v EU (i v ekonomicky vyspělých zemích) jsou stále se snižující veřejné rozpočty. Malá města jsou navíc často bez vlastních odborných institucí zabývajících se rozvojem (útvary hlavních architektů, odbory rozvoje,…). Závažnost a aktuálnost problémů je ale stejná, ne-li relativně vyšší než u velkých měst. Proto při řešení problémů rozvoje malýc a středních měst o to víc záleží na synergii, občanské shodě a participaci, partnerství veřejného i soukromého sektoru.

The monopurpose operating system FreeNAS and its usage

This work has examined features of the commonly available NAS operating systems based on kernels of FreeBSD, Linux, and OpenSolaris. Described in the theoretical part of the work is a detailed explanation of today's' current situation, along with basic information regarding these NAS systems that are being tested. The practical part discusses varying methods and the processes of testing NAS systems, when installed on an experimental machine. Testing is divided into three areas. The first one is targeted on testing the ability of those NAS systems to be installed on an experimental computer. The second part is the speed of NAS systems benchmarked. The last part is the actual testing of the influence of the different NAS systems on electric consumption, on the experimental machine.
