Bachelor thesis: Obstetric brachial plexus palsy in adulthood Author: Lucie Mohylová Supervisor: PaedDr. Irena Zounková. Ph.D. Date: 2018 Abstract This bachelor thesis deals with persisting consequences of the obstetric brachial plexus palsy and their influence on the function of the musculoskeletal system in adulthood. The first part is theoretical and gains information from publications, that have been published about this topic in the last years. Futhermore, it also includes a description of the consequences in adult patients, their exacerbations and treatment options not limited only to physiotherapy. The second part is practical and it is devoted to a case report of an adult patient with obstetric brachial plexus palsy. It includes a patient's anamnesis to the present, a kinesiological analysis and exacerbation of symptoms with increasing age. It also covers influence of an actual functional state and his particular findings by physiotherapy. There were used available anthropometric methods and scales of functional movements. In the therapy there were used for example soft tissue techniques, peripheral joint mobilizations or methods based on developmental kinesiology models. Based on the findings about exacerbation of symptoms and the result of therapy in the case report, it can be stated that the...

Once a week, the lessons took place under the guidance of a trained physiotherapist by the DNS method. Before and after the exercise program, the participants were examined using DNS FIT KID tests, gross motor tests and balance tests from the MABC-2 battery. Results: In DNS FIT KID tests, the results improved by an average of 11.2 points (p < 0,001), in tests from MABC-2 battery, the percentile of gross motor...
