Effect of surface electrode type on quality of decopmposition of surface EMG signal
Strusková, Edita ; Otáhal, Jakub (advisor) ; Michalec, Radim (referee)
Title: Effect of surface electrode type on quality of decomposition of surface EMG signal Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the effect of surface electrode type, which was used for EMG record, on the quality of decomposition of surface EMG signal using decomposition software EMGlab. Methods: The form of the thesis is an experimental essay. It was detected an EMG signal from one healthy volunteer during mild cyclic contraction. It was used three different types of electrodes (standard surface electrode, tetrode, tetrode with saw-off spikes) for EMG signal detection. These signals were decomposed in program EMGlab. The results were processed in program MS Excel, compared with each other and graphically displayed. Results: The measurement verified a hypothesis which claimed that the used type of electrode affects the quality of automatic decomposition. The best results of automatic decomposition provide the signal gained from the standard surface electrode. Key words: action potential, decomposition, surface electrodes, EMG signal, tetrode, electromyography
Problems of the functional flatfoot
Michalec, Radim ; Dudová, Agnieszka (advisor) ; Véle, František (referee)
Title: Problems of the functional flatfoot Objective: The aim of this diploma thesis is problems of the functional flatfoot. Main goal is to describe relation between change of structure, disorder of foot function and development of flatfoot. The thesis tries to describe the behavior of foot and arch in standing and walking. Another goal is to summarize the diagnostic possibilities of flatfoot. Methods: The diploma thesis has descriptive-analytical character. It's written in form of literature review. Results: This thesis demonstrates the problem of disunity nomenclature concerning the problem of flatfoot. Specifically, it concerns the interpretation of the words of functional flatfoot, movement components in foot and laboratory diagnostic methods. There is offered an explanation of the concept of functional flatfoot. Further work indicated that the acquired flatfoot is a question of a functional disorder that may progress to structural changes. The static and dynamic loadings were confirmed by the role of small muscles of the foot in the role of dynamic stabilization and influence of femoral rotation on the foot arch. There were summarized methods used for the diagnosis of flatfoot including dynamic plantography. Keywords: flat foot, foot arch, kinesiology, diagnostics
H reflex during pasive movements
Borský, Ondřej ; Otáhal, Jakub (advisor) ; Michalec, Radim (referee)
Title: Motoneuron excitability depending on the level of muscle stretch Aim: The aim of this thesis is to evaluate if passive muscle lenght change may influence parameters of H - reflex of soleus muscle Method: Tibial nerve stimulation in the fossa poplitea area was performed on 6 persons while passive stretching or lengthening of the muscle. Action potentials were captured on soleus muscle. Stimulation was performed in three different time periods - 4s, 2s, 1s. Each period was performed twice. First in passive muscle stretching then the passive shortening. The Hmax and Mmax values during passive muscle stretching and shortening were evaluated and compared. Results: The measurment results showed that there was a significant decrease in the Hmax values during passive muscle stretching. Mmax values were evaluated as passive muscle length change independent. Keywords: EMG, recruitment curve, H-reflex, M-wave, m.soleus, excitability
Case report of physiotherapeutic care of a patient with diagnosis status after intra-articular fracture of the proximal tibia
Vodičková, Kamila ; Michalec, Radim (advisor) ; Jiráň, Jan (referee)
Title: Case report of physiotherapeutic care of a patient with diagnosis status after intra- articular fracture of the proximal tibia Aim: The aim of this bachelor's thesis is processing of the case study of a patient with diagnosis condition after intra-articular fracture of the proximal tibia, a summary of theoretical knowledge, designing therapy and monitoring its progress. Method: This thesis was created as a research with case study during continuous professional practice held from 7.1.2013 to 1.2.2013 at Rehabilitation clinic Malvazinky in Prague. The thesis is divided into two parts - general and special. The first (general) part deals with the theoretical knowledge of kinesiology of the knee joint, includes information on fractures (their classification, possible solutions, healing and complications) and the possibilities of physiotherapy procedures in the postoperative period. The second (special) part describes case study of a patient after intra-articular fracture of the proximal tibia, the process of suggested therapy and evaluation of its effect. Keywords: knee joint, tibia, osteosynthesis, physiotherapy, traumatology, rehabilitation
Case study of physiotherapeutic care of patient with a diagnose of Guillain - Barré syndrom
Tunka, Ondřej ; Michalec, Radim (advisor) ; Šťastná, Johana (referee)
Title Case study of physiotherapeutic care of patient with a diagnose of Guillain - Barré syndrom. Summary This bachelor thesis was elaborated during my continuous practice at the Malvazinky Rehabilitation Clinic from January 28th to February 22nd of 2013. The thesis is divided into two main components: general and special. The general component contains theoretical findings about Guillain - Barré Syndrome disease and all its subtypes. The special component consists of a detailed elaboration of a case report involving a Guillain-Barré Syndrome disease patient. This case study includes an initial kinesiology examination in which basis targets and therapy process have been set, and a description of the applied therapeutic methods followed by a final kinesiology examination after which the effect of the described therapy was evaluated. Key words Guillian - Barré syndrome, polyneuropathy, physiotherapy, case study Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Title: Case Study of Physiotherapy Treatment of a Patient with the Diagnosis of Unilateral Above - Knee Amputation. Aim: Summary of theoretical knowledge and processing of case study of a patient with the diagnosis of unilateral above - knee amputation. Method: This thesis consists of two parts. The general part includes knowledge related with topic amputations, prothesis and possibilities of diagnostics and therapy at this issue, focusing on physiotherapy. Special part, case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient with the diagnosis of unilateral above-knee amputation, contains complex kinesiology examination, rehabilitation plan, progress of therapy and final evaluation of its effect. Case study was prepared at the time of study practice from 7. 1. to 1. 2. 2013 at the outpatient's department at Rehabilitation clinic Malvazinky. Key words: amputation, intelligent prosthesis device, phantom pain, case study, physiotherapy
