Continual actual moisture of fine particulates measurement possibilities.
Mayerová, Kateřina ; Ing.Lukáš Brzobohatý (referee) ; Svěrák, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis describes the process of measuring a hydrated lime moisture, using gravimetric method and FT-NIR spectroscopy. The aim of the theretical part was to analyse and present the area of infrared spectroscopy (IR), gathering the general information about infrared spectroscopy, Fourier transformation and near infrared spectroscopy (NIR). Experimental part of the thesis was carried out in limekiln Carmeuse in Mokré town, where the FT-NIR spectroscopy was investigated for possible usage in on-line measuring of hydrated lime moisture.
Kinetics of the continual measurement of the actual fine particulates moisture content.
Mayerová, Kateřina ; Ing.Lukáš Brzobohatý (referee) ; Svěrák, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with the continual measurement of the hydrated lime moisture content on the principle of spectral measurements. The theoretical part describes the basic principles of the infrared spectroscopy, Fourier transformation and near infrared spectroscopy, which are used in the process of the spectroscopy measurement of fine particulates moisture content. The practical part of the work describes experiments and the evaluation of moisture hydrated lime measuring results, using gravimetric method and NIR spectroscopy in both the laboratory conditions and the conditions of operation production of hydrated lime as well. The part of the work monitors the spectroscopy measurement moisture values as the dependence on the optical quality of hydrate limes and the process conditions of the measurements.
The relationship between over-claiming and truancy: Using the over-claiming technique on PISA 2012 data
Mayerová, Kateřina ; Voňková, Hana (advisor) ; Papajoanu, Ondřej (referee)
This thesis addresses the issue of the association between the over-claiming technique (OCT) and truancy based on data collected in the PISA 2012 student questionnaire. First, it summarises the theoretical background on the PISA survey, over-claiming of self-reported knowledge and related research to date, and truancy. In general, the paper aims to investigate whether there is a relationship between over-claiming of knowledge and truancy and whether there are differences in this relationship across the countries and economics involved in the 2012 PISA survey. The relationships between truancy and over-claiming of knowledge turned out to be statistically significant, although the correlation values are low. The highest values can be observed between at least some familiarity with non-existing concepts and truancy variables, between at least some familiarity with existing concepts and truancy variables, and between accuracy index and truancy variables. These relationships are most pronounced in South Korea, Macau, Taipei, Australia, New Zealand, Estonia, Lithuania, Hungary, Slovakia, Spain, Ireland, Iceland and the UK. KEYWORDS The overclaiming technique, truancy, late arrivals to school, PISA, cross-country comparison
Computer games in the context of socio-cultural environment of the family and gender
Mayerová, Kateřina ; Bittnerová, Dana (advisor) ; Smetáčková, Irena (referee)
Main purpose of this thesis is to pursue the question whether it is possible to find differences (and if so, which) in attitudes towards computer (or rather digital) games resulting from various family socio-cultural backgrounds and gender. In order to explore this, the thesis analyzes selected gaming behaviors along with the socio-cultural environment and gender stereotypes shaping the gamers. The research study focuses mainly on gamers' preference in choosing the game type, reflection of their approach and ways of dealing with this phenomenon exhibited by their parents. This thesis does not aim to state any general theory; it is rather attempting to offer specific insight into this issue. Keywords: digital games, computer games, games' classification, computer games entertainment, parental attitudes towards gaming, family socio-cultural standard, gender stereotypes, computer games usefulness/ harmfulness in its consumers, virtual communication in computer games.
