Lotus sport cars

This thesis is trying to describe the development of Lotus sports car. The aim of the project is delineate development and construction of sport cars. The first part outlines is about history of the company of Lotus from establishment to today. Followed by second part of work, were are in detail discussed successful cars of Lotus Company, which are divided to the branch of their function - sport cars, Formula 1 cars and racing specials for 500 mil Indianapolis.
Design of cooling plate for vibration test stand

This research deals witch thermal analysis of cooling plate for vibrational test of turbochargers. In introduction, the reader is familiar with principle of turbocharging, his importance and history. In this part of research is described also testing of turbochargers, especially vibration tests and its issue. The main part of research is focused on heat transfer, especially conduction, convection and radiation. This part is also completed with calculation of heat transfer coefficient, which is nessesary for thermal analysis of plate for vibration test stand, which is made in the last part of this work.
Thermal measurement of the building

Infrared measurements, as a method of contactless temperature measurement, has spread rapidly in various branches of industry. Nowadays, in era of saving energy and financial resources spent on building heating, it has become an inherent part of revisions and controls of excessive heat transfer over thermal bridges. The aim of this bachelor's thesis in it's first part is to describe the theory of infrared measurement and heat transfer of the building and the second part is focused on application of theoretical knowledge to evaluate the results of practical measurements of buildings A2, A3, A4 and A5 on Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Brno University of Technology, which is regulated by the technical standard ČSN EN 13187.
Approximation of the cooling effects of water nozzles by mathematical functions

The Bachelor thesis deals with a cooling process of full cone water nozzles. It explains the principle of the continuous steel casting which these nozzles are used for. The basics of heat transfer and spray cooling are also described. The thesis then summarizes the way of the experiment with these nozzles. The purpose of the thesis is to choose an appropriate 3D mathematical function which would well characterize the distribution of the heat transfer coefficient under the nozzle and then create an algorithm for finding its parameters. The algorithm is programmed in MATLAB and implemented on the data gained by the experimental way for two types of full cone water nozzles.
Combined supercharging internal combustion engines

This bachelor’s thesis contains a basic division of various types of combined supercharging and a description of their functions. For the most common types of supercharging technologies there are listed specific examples of usage in the automotive industry. This thesis also contains a short overview of the history of supercharging and an analysis of ideal cycles supercharged internal combustion engines. One of the most important chapters of this thesis is thermal efficiency of supercharged engines and their comparison with naturally aspirated internal combustion engines.

It briefly characterizes regulation of heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and lighting and its integration into centralized control component. Thesis discusses about systems from a few producers, short description of economic operation, a vision of these systems into the future and examples of implemented installations.

Content of this bachelor´s thesis is evaluate meteorological data which were measured by sensors of temperature, humidity, barometric pressure, wind speed and wind direction which are placed on a station of Energy institute. Data were measured from the 1st October 2008 to the 30th September 2009. The thesis briefly characterizes evaluating quantities, sensors which were used for measuring, tables content evaluated data and their ilustration by graphs.
Solar radiation in place BUT FME Brno

This thesis deals with the elaboration of measured solar radiation data collected from sensors placed on C3 building - BUT FSI localization in Brno. Data measured during 2007-08 and 2008-09. The aim of this thesis is to present the measured solar radiation data in statistical and graphical form, which can be used as a basis for the solar collectors and barrier-layer calculations. Part of the thesis creates also a comparison of incident solar radiation on a horizontal and sloping surface. We will encounter here with brief characteristics of solar radiation, possibilities of utilization and the ways of its measurement.
