Laboratory DC power supply 30V 60A
Gábel, Marián ; Vorel, Pavel (referee) ; Martiš, Jan (advisor)
The master thesis deals with design of a switched DC power supply with output parameters of 30 V 60 A. The power supply uses the connection of two single switch forward converters with opposite phase. The topology was chosen based on a comparison of specific schematics in the first part. The body of the thesis is covered in chapter which deals with design and analysis of power circuits of the converter. The chapter describes detailed design of pulse transformers, dimensioning of semiconductors and cooling system of the converter. For lower power losses, the system of synchronous rectifying is chosen at the output of the circuit. The regulation of the output is based on cascade structure with a superior voltage and dependent current loop. Appropriate over current protection is provided by sensing the output current and using current transformers for primary current measure.

Solid State Tesla Coil
Pařenica, Jakub ; Mikláš, Ján (referee) ; Martiš, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis focuses on a theoretical description of the operation of Tesla's transformer, its design, including electronics, and its subsequent construction. The basic theory of the transformer replacement scheme is described. The Tesla transformer is generally described, as well as the methods of excitation of the primary side of the transformer, the generation of the discharge, the skin effect and the meaning of resonance. Furthermore, the work describes the construction of the primary coil holder, secondary coil. The work contains a pattern of the power board from the Eagle program, and everything is accompanied by photos. The work describes the recovery procedure and describes all the waveforms that were measured before and after the connection of the secondary coil.
Oscilloscope supply source with a low parasitic capacity of the galvanic separation
Tauš, Michal ; Martiš, Jan (referee) ; Vorel, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with design of a DC/DC converter for powering the oscilloscope. The main parameters for selecting a suitable inverter are: galvanic isolation of input and output parts of the inverter and low parasitic capacitance of galvanic isolation. The required power of the inverter is 100 W and the output voltage is 325 V. The introduction briefly explains why the DC/DC converter with transformer will be used. The first part of the work deals with the selection of a suitable types of DC/DC converter with transformer for powering the oscilloscope. The next part is devoted to designing of the power parts of resonant converter and single acting flyback converter. This is followed by a complete design of a single-acting flyback converter, including the realization and measurement of the time courses of important quantities.
Device for magnetic mixing of solution containing magnetizable particles
Zítka, Jan ; Martiš, Jan (referee) ; Červinka, Dalibor (advisor)
The aim of this works was the design and construction of a device that will be used for magnetizable beads mixing without application of mechanical force. In theoretical part of this work, properties of ferromagnetic nano- and microbeads and methods used for mixing of these beads were described. Two coils were reeled in for the device, each consisting of 200 turns and with 0.8 . The device construction was designed in program CAD. Different parts of the instrument were 3D printed. The control program, which enables changes in coil switching, was created and then the testing of device functionality was performed.
Converter for DC motor with sensorless speed control
Hanzl, Ondřej ; Martiš, Jan (referee) ; Tománek, Radek (advisor)
The scope of work is the design of a converter with sensorless speed control for a DC motor with permanent magnets with a power of 500 W at a voltage of 48 V. The whole device consists of two parts, a single-acting pass converter, which serves as a power supply with parameters 0 ÷ 60 V/0 ÷ 20 A for laboratory purposes, and on the hand as a power supply for a four-quadrant pulse converter for the speed control itself with user settings, electronic reversal of the direction of rotation and motor braking. The control of both inverters is provided by control circuits implemented digitally. All components will then be designed for measuring printed circuits boards of strandardized dimensions as plug-in modules to be built into instrument cabinet for easy disassembly and access in the case of controls.
Push-pull quasi-resonant DC/DC converter with a transformer
Dvořák, Petr ; Vorel, Pavel (referee) ; Martiš, Jan (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with analysis of function and subsequent construction of a quasi-resonant DC / DC converter 300 V / 50 V for an output of about 1.5 kW. The aim of this work is to test and describe the behavior of an experimental converter at various operating parameters. In the theoretical part, resonant circuits are described, as well as our connection of the resonant converter. Based on the used topology and the simulated behavior of the converter, the individual components of the power circuit and its control and excitation circuit are designed in Chapters 4 and 5. The sixth chapter deals with the construction and testing of the converter, including a description of its behavior. The last chapter contains technical documentation.

Lead-acid battery charger with a pulse converter
Mihályi, Róbert ; Martiš, Jan (referee) ; Vorel, Pavel (advisor)
This master´s thesis discusses on complete designing of a lead-acid accumulator charger. Charger operates with the principle of a two-switch forward converter. It contains the design and manufacturing of all the proposed winding subcomponents, the semiconductor components, the control circuit board and the power circuit board. This thesis includes also the design and description of the individual parts of the power circuit and control circuit. The revival of the charger, including a description of the individual adjustments that were necessary for proper and reliable operation is also in the content. This thesis contains too a series of measurement performed to verify the correct function of the charger.
DC/DC converter 2,5kW/1500A for resistive heating of iron components
Martiš, Jan ; Knobloch, Jan (referee) ; Vorel, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design and construction of a single-phase switching power supply, which is intended for direct resistive heating of iron components. The power supply is especially intended for resistive heating of horse-shoes. The supply is able to deliver an output current of up to 1500 A at a power of up to 2500 W. The first part of this work deals with the design of individual parts of the unit, the second part is focused on construction and testing of the supply and the last part contains technical documentation. The power supply was successfully tested and the required output parameters were met. However some problems do exist, especially with overheating of the output rectifier and with contacting the heated component to the output leads of the supply. These problems will be discussed in the work. The power supply can be used as an alternative solution to classic means of iron heating. The methods and ideas presented in this work can be applied in a design of a similar power supply with high output current, but most of the design rules are valid generally for the given topology.
