The aim of the thesis "The Economic Context of Dairy Production in a Specific Enterprise" is to analyze cattle breeding in a selected farm. The thesis deals with the analysis of an agrarian sector, the breakdown of a commodity chain of milk and the prices development within a commodity chain. It also deals with breeding of milking cattle in the Czech Republic and it describes indicators that affect the breeding. The economic analysis of milking cattle breeding in a selected company was created for the years 2012-2016. The analysis deals with the testing the quantity of the produced milk, its quality and purchase prices. In addition, the herd turnover is considered and all the costs and incomes of the breeding are analyzed. Despite the fact that the average milk yield increased in the company in the monitored period and the milk reached excellent values of fats and proteins, the breeding of milking cattle was loss-making, even after the subsidies were figured in.

Investice podniku do fondů kolektivního investování: aktivní versus pasivní správa

The following bachelor’s thesis is focused on the comparison between a company’s active and passive management of investment into collective investment funds based on profitability and riskiness. The theoretical part describes the subject of collective investment and classification of funds, moreover, the advantages and disadvantages of an active or passive strategy of mutual funds are compared. The practical part covers the comparison of equity mutual funds having active or passive management, which are divided according to the currency in which they invest. The comparison is based on different lengths of time scales while using profitability and risk calculations of individual funds. The aim of the thesis is to assess a recommendation, to which fund it is better to invest financial resources. Appertaining to the results of the practical part, it can be recommended to use active funds on the Czech and European market, whereas on the US market it is more advantageous to invest in a passive fund. The passive funds have shown better results in decreasing market, on the other hand, the active funds did better on the growing market.

An analysis of selected agricultural holding in terms of economy and possible cooperation with Brno is the main aim of the thesis Agribusiness in the hinterland of the city: a case study of eastern periphery of Brno". The first part is a theoretical introduction; it is also analyzed and evaluated the available literature. Von Thünen model is introduced and it is consider the issue of suburbanization and agriculture. Further, the first part of thesis deals with the city Šlapanice and the detailed characteristic of the area. The second part focuses on the analysis of the selected company, its business focus and the economic side.
