Sedlařík, Marek ; Mačák, Martin (referee) ; Vyroubal, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the issue of satellite control using a magnetic field. Describes the physical principle of the magnetorquer and its interaction with the Earth's magnetic field. It contains a summary of advantages and disadvantages of individual solutions and their comparison with alternative control systems. Includes a search of currently available devices. It introduces the standardized CubeSat nanosatellites, their subsystems and ECSS standards, which define the parameters of equipment for space applications. It deals with the issue of the geomagnetic field, its fluctuations and describes selected orbits of the planet Earth. The main part of the work contains a description and implementation of the test system, which consists in the design of the printed circuit board, the program part of the test board and the user interface. This part also includes a detailed design and implementation of a two-axis magnetorquer, including simulations.
Calibration and evaluation of data from strain gauges
Dubina, Jozef ; Mačák, Martin (referee) ; Vyroubal, Petr (advisor)
This thesis describes calibration and evaluation of data measured from tensometric sensors. The labour describes tensometers in general, their functions, aplications and principle of operation. Loading data from tensometric sensors is next part of this labour, where are information how to convert analog to digital signal output, which is ready for processing and shows real values. After signal is converted to digital signal, is needed to calibrate tensometers to receive high precission values of weight according to reference load. Thesis describes choices of electronic and mechanical components for building digital scale. Software developing for this electronic equipment is described in next part of thesis.
Smart home control unit with Raspberry Pi
Sedlařík, Marek ; Mačák, Martin (referee) ; Vyroubal, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the issue of smart home controlled primarily by voice. The thesis introduces this technology, with its development and with trends it is heading to. It contains description of IoT architecture, communication and transmission technology. The attributes and use of the single-board minicomputer Raspberry Pi are described and compared with individual models. The large part of this thesis deals with the design of control unit for smart home system, which will consist of suitable components and microcomputer Raspberry Pi with operating system Raspbian, where the virtual assistant Amazan Alexa is integrated. The last part deals with the design, modeling and printing of a plastic cover for a intelligent speaker.
Numerical modelling of Li-S batteries
Mezera, Petr ; Jaššo, Kamil (referee) ; Mačák, Martin (advisor)
This work deals with modeling and simulation of Li-S batteries in Matlab. The work describes the properties of these batteries, their construction and the problems associated with their development. Furthermore, experimental techniques and their importance for numerical modeling of batteries are discussed. Different types of battery modeling are described in the work, then numerical models for simulations are analyzed in more detail. The procedure for making the Li-S battery is described and the measurements made on it are described. The measured data has been adapted for use in several different ECMs. Finally, models of a replacement circuit for the Li-S battery were built. One model accounted for the polynomial equations and the other the resulting circuit. The latter used linear interpolation and was more accurate.
Testing of selected material properties for 3D printing
Čáslavský, František ; Mačák, Martin (referee) ; Vyroubal, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with 3D printing, materials used for 3D printing, testing of the materials and learning their real parameters. Goal of the thesis is comparing selected materials, executing series of mechanical test and selecting suitable material for printing high-quality plastic parts for use in automobiles, especially for reproduction of parts that are no longer made for oldtimers and for use in motorsport.
Monitoring system of a small wind power plant
Šmol, Vojtěch ; Mačák, Martin (referee) ; Vyroubal, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the design of the monitoring system of small wind power generator with the use of platform Arduino and external modules. Small wind turbine is implemented using the 3D printing method.
Modeling of magnetohydrodynamic phenomena
Mačák, Martin ; Maxa, Jiří (referee) ; Vyroubal, Petr (advisor)
Theoretical part of this thesis is dedicated to the theoretical basis of electric conduction phenomena in fluids and method of calculation of magnetohydrodynamic phenomena. In the experimental part, computational modules have been developed to complement and augment the use of commercial simulation programs for simulation in the field of magnetohydrodynamics. On practical examples of mass spectrometer simulation, Einzel lens, electron movement and electric circuit breaker, the functionality of the computational models and the correctness of the obtained results were documented. Created computational modules can be used to design and optimize products using magnetohydrodynamic phenomena.
Editor of Relational Tables
Macák, Martin ; Urbanovský, Pavel (referee) ; Šárfy, Martin (advisor)
This thesis deals with aspects of using the common, universal relational table editor as a simple information system, which would be fully independent on the underlying database system and partially independent on the underlying's database schema. One part of this thesis deals with potential of using such universal information system to create a framework to allow fast and easy development of small and medium information systems. The practical part of this thesis is the application, which implements the basics of simple relational table editor, which is fully independent on the underlying database provider and schema and servers as the demonstrative table editor.
Precise drug targeting using electromagnetic fields
Matějka, Alexandr ; Vyroubal, Petr (referee) ; Mačák, Martin (advisor)
The present bachelor thesis deals with the study of electromagnetic fields used for precise drug targeting from the point of view of numerical simulations. This area is very interesting from different points of view. The use of numerical simulations is currently a very attractive, but not widely used solution. In this bachelor thesis, a numerical model is developed to model the phenomena under investigation. Furthermore, the effect of the proximity of the magnetic field source on the targeting efficiency of drug carriers was analyzed in this thesis. The use of simulations of the presented issue can help to streamline and accelerate the application of the stated methods in practical applications.
Application of graphite in thermal management of microelectronics
Práce začíná vysvětlením současných metod chlazení a výzev v oblasti mikroelektroniky. Poté přechází k běžně používaným materiálům - hliníku a mědi a přidává do výběru i uhlíkové alotropie.
