Počítačová implementace mikro MKP
Blaheta, Radim ; Krečmer, Karel
This paper concerns a special application of the finite element method (FEM), which is modelling of microstructure of materials. This “micro” application of FEM brings some specific features, which can be exploited in the numerical realization and computer implementation of the method. These features are briefly discussed in this paper and will be further developed in a future work.
Srovnání ASM, NN a FETI-DP
Horák, D. ; Krečmer, Karel
The paper presents basic decomposition algorithms (Additive Schwarz, Neumann-Neumann and FETI-DP), review theoretical results and finally depicts results of numerical experiments related to comparison of these algorithms for the solution of model problem.
An application of parallel DiD and DD solvers
Blaheta, Radim ; Jakl, Ondřej ; Krečmer, Karel ; Starý, Jiří
The paper describes solution of large scale linear systems arising from finite element analysis by parallel solvers, which use decomposition ideas. Namely, Displacement Decomposition and Domain Decomposition techniques are discussed.

In many fields of science and engineering, we can see challenging tasks, which require application of mathematical modelling. The physical phenomena are simulated with the aid of the finite element method and this simulation leads to huge computational demands, which are concentrated mainly to the solution of large-scale systems of equations. For such systems, we need high performance iterative solvers.
