Fossil fuels use in Czech Republic
Trávníček, Tomáš ; Kracík, Petr (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor thesis is to collect facts about fossil fuels and their utilization in the Czech Republic. Firstly, the thesis discusses the fossil fuels and their division in general. The main part of the thesis is focused on mining and utilization of different kinds of fossil fuels in the Czech Republic with the emphasis being put on the brown coal, black coal and the natural gas. The oil and the lignite are briefly dealt with as well. The thesis includes the statistics of the fossil fuels‘ production of the mining companies, the summary of the big energy facilities in the Czech Republic and the mapping of their fuel bases.
Steam turbines
Klíma, Petr ; Kracík, Petr (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
The goal of this bachelor thesis is to describe development of steam turbine basic parts of steam turbine and its types. In theoretical part there are described history of steam turbines in the world and Czech republic. Next one is principle of steam turbine, description of parts in steam turbine and different connection of steam turbine. In practical part there are calculations of ideal Clausius-Rankine cycle of specific steam turbine.
Steam Engine
Flimel, Lukáš ; Kracík, Petr (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
This thesis is intented on piston`s steam engines. The first part of this thesis is about history, developing, using conceptions, regulation and practical using of piston`s steam engines. In the seconde part of this thesis is made thermal and solidity calculation and construktive solve of steam engine.
Gas - steam cycle
Tóth, Richard ; Špiláček, Michal (referee) ; Kracík, Petr (advisor)
The Bachelor thesis „Gas-steam cycle“ explains the cycle from technical point and then its application in economic terms. At the beginning is explaind how gas turbine work and its application in Czech republic and World. In practical part are for real Gas-steam cycle Power Plant in simplified way calculated basic parameters and efficiency in full operation and operating only with gas turbines. The end contains a design of Heat recovery steam generator.
Balancing turbines rotor
Peterka, Zdeněk ; Kracík, Petr (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is specialized search dealing with issues of balancing turbines rotors. The first part of this work is devoted to general problems of balancing turbines rotors and basics of balancing turbines rotors. In the second part of this thesis there is a documentation of balancing device so-called „shelter“. The third part already discussed about the very processes of balancing turbines rotors. In the last part there two examples of practical balancing turbines rotors.
Offshore and inland type of wind power
Chromec, Tomáš ; Kracík, Petr (referee) ; Škorpík, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor‘s thesis focuses on wind energy sector. The first part describes the modern history of this industry. The brief description of the main differences between onshore and offshore wind farms followed an extensive chapter, which describes the diversification of wind power solutions and diversification in the case of wind farms located on the sea. Fluctuating needs for backup power sources in this work is included in chapter, which briefly describes the most appropriate energy storage devices. This is followed by section dealing with the economics of wind turbines. Possible negative impacts of wind energy are discussed in the final chapter about environmental impacts associated with wind power applications.
The use of Steam Turbines
Saňka, Marek ; Kracík, Petr (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the use of steam turbines as a part of the power station. The theoretical part focuses on the history, basic informations about steam turbines, as well as facts of the operation and allocation of steam turbines by various criteria. The theoretical part also includes description of the most common construction design. In the practical part is described the concrete power station and is made basic calculation of heat balance.
Technologies for electricity storage
Pochylý, Jiří ; Kracík, Petr (referee) ; Škorpík, Jiří (advisor)
The point of this work is to compare and to describe basic types and principles of electric storage systems. With the increasing imbalance between consumption and generation of electric energy there is a need for integration of electric accumulators to the electric grid. Technologies for electric energy storage can be divided into several types, which differ in form and conversion of energy. These technologies are suitable for specific industrial applications.
Expansion Turbine
Hlavinka, Miloslav ; Kracík, Petr (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
The content of this bachelor thesis is the analysys of a problem of expansion turbines and their usage in the gas-steam cycle. In the first part the respective parts of the combided cycle are described, Brayton cycle and Rankine-Clausius cycle. The gas-steam cycle is discribed subsequently. In the second part the natural gas is briefly described and how it gets to us. There is described the conventional natural gas reduction station and the conventional process steam reduction station. The main part is a description of the expansion turbine, division of turbines, caluclation of efficiency and a description of steam and natural gas expansion turbine. Then there is a describtion of the steam-gas heating plant Červený mlýn and its parts. As an example of the economic evaluation the replacement of conventional reduction station at heating plant Červený mlýn by expansion turbine is shown.
Solar heating tap water
Kracík, Petr ; Baláš, Marek (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the heating of hot service water by means of solar energy through solar collectors. At the beginning the author describes the most frequent methods for heating of service water in Czech houses with the help of electrical energy, fossil fuel, gas and central heat supply, including the input expenses for buying equipment. The author describes a solar system and his basic elements and suggests two variants with supplement heating by means of electrical energy, which compares with electrical heating of service water. The overall thesis is conceived as a review of possibilities of heating hot service water in households with economical budget at the end of the work.
