Warehouse hall with administration

The content of this diploma thesis is the design of a new warehouse hall with administration in the Zetor complex in the Brno – Líšeň district. It is the building thaht is divided into warehouse hall and administrative part. The warehouse hall has one floor and will be used for storage of steel products within the Zetor complex. The administrative part has three floors, where the 1st floor serves as a background for warehouse employees, on the 2nd and 3rd floors there are office space with social facilities. The construction is based on deep foundations on embossed piles. The supporting structure of the building is designed as a prefibricated reinforces concrete skeleton with continuous columns and beams places on the columns. The peripheral shell of the both part sis made of sandwich mineral panels. The supporting structure of the roof of the warehouse hall consists of roof trusses and is made as a flat single-skin. The ceiling construction of the administrative part is made of SPIROLL ceiling panels, the roof of the administration is also made as a flat single-skin.

Thermal phenomena in lead acid batteries

This thesis project solve problematic of thermal proces in lead-acid batteries. There are decribed history of lead – acid batteries, distributions of batteries, overview of construction lead – acid batteries and VRLA batteries and is decribed thermal runaway proces and basic termal process. They are listed here practical results and the measurements is concluded.

The aim of this thesis is to design and implement a web application for the visualization of historical informations related to historical events and persons. The web application is written in the PHP programming language using the Nette framework and the MySQL database system. The beginning of the work is devoted to the technologies needed for development, then the design of the user interface and ways to use the application. Then the gradual steps leading to the implementation of the entire application will be described. The web application allows system administrators to create historical records that visitors can view. If they register in the application system, they will be allowed to participate in the creation of the content of this website. The conclusion describes the course of testing and thinking about future improvement of the application.

Carbon footprint of computers in the computer class at VSE

This bachelor's thesis is about carbon footprint. It looks into assessing of carbon footprint. Theoretical knowledge is applied afterwards in a case study. Main goal is assessing of carbon footprint of computers that are located in computer class. The first part is about definition of carbon footprint. Then there are presented three different points of view of carbon footprinting. There is a part focused on software solutions that helps companies monitor their carbon footprint as well. Second part of this thesis includes the case study that is focused on assessing of carbon footprint in the area of information and communications technology. There is an analysis of activities and processes that computers in class are involved into. Then the consumption of electric energy is measured. On its basis the size of carbon footprint is calculated. The result offers the estimation of University of Economics' size of carbon footprint that is suitable indicator in the context of environment protection.
