Mobile applications for subjective measurement QoE of streaming video
Šeda, Pavel ; Hošek, Jiří (referee) ; Kováč, Dominik (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the subjective measurement of the quality of experience on streaming video through a mobile application. After wide analysis of possibilities how to realize subjective measurement of quality of experience, the mobile and web application were created. These tools enable to obtain user ratings of streaming videos and then evaluate them. The user ratings are stored to the central database via secured REST API.
Web application for subjective evaluation of streamed video
Lipa, Matúš ; Červenák, Rastislav (referee) ; Kováč, Dominik (advisor)
This work deals with creating web application for subjective evaluation of streamed video and parts which are necessary. Streaming techniques are described from simple classical technique to adaptive bitrate streaming techniques. This work focus on adaptive bitrate streaming technology using MPEG - DASH and editing video source with tool FFmpeg. With using JavaScript is create a player who´s able to simulate changes in the network as a change in available bandwidth. It´s possible to create scenarios under which the player selects the video playback quality. The player is placed into a complex tool for evaluation of quality of experience.
Cross-platform performance testing of open source PBX FreeSWITCH
Melichar, Ondřej ; Kováč, Dominik (referee) ; Šilhavý, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the open source private branch exchange FreeSWITCH. The thesis describes the process of installation and consecutive configuration of the telephone system on various distributions of platforms Windows and Linux. Emphasis is placed on comparison of the performance between these systems and also the quality of calls as well as transcoding functionality. Specifically, the performance of the telephone system is tested while using the SIP protocol. Thesis also contains an introduction into the subject and a brief description of the FreeSWITCH architecture and its functions and capabilities.
Universal Communication Center for the Smart Home based on Platform OpenHAB
Veselka, Jan ; Lattenberg, Ivo (referee) ; Kováč, Dominik (advisor)
In households is increasing number of electronic peripheries. It is therefore appropriate to control these peripheries remotely, with comfort, for example by smart phone. This thesis focuses on opportunity to control every single element of household by OpenHAB (Open Home Automation Bus). In this thesis is gradually explained which architecture OpenHAB have and it's described individual elements of this architecture. Second part of this thesis deal with configuration of OpenHAB. Specifically with syntax of individual files and acquaint user with development environment. Third part of thesis is focused on already set bindings between system OpenHAB and peripheries. Fourt part focuses on device Raspberry Pi and opportunity to use it as a server for OpenHAB. In conclusion are given instructions for launching this system on Raspberry Pi and a example of following configuration with use of elements and sensors from Homematic.
Smart Home Control by Utilizing AllJoyn Platform
Resler, Tomáš ; Kováč, Dominik (referee) ; Hošek, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor work concerns with system Alljoyn which tries to standardize the interface for communication in the frame of intelligent house. The basic principles and the structure of the framework Alljoyn including the recent proposal of the modules Lighting framework and Gateway Agent have been described in the theoretical oriented part of the work. The practical oriented part stars with the description of the getting the Alljoyn framework including the Lighting controller and the Gateway Agent to work on the hardware router provided with operating system OpenWRT. The following parts present own testing connector for the Alljoyn Gateway which have been written to allow the remote control of the lights via cloud service Twitter. The functionality of the router have been tested with software simulator of the Alljoyn lights Luminaire and an own ligths driving program developed utilizing the experimental Lighting SDK for mobile devices with operating system Android.
Performance Analysis of Mobile Networks for M2M Communication
Důbrava, Marek ; Kováč, Dominik (referee) ; Mašek, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis "The benchmark analysis of mobile network for M2M communication" focuses on theoretical study of M2M devices and third- and fourth-generation mobile networks. The second part of the thesis is devoted to the LTE network overload simulation. The LTE network overload is achieved in two ways: the overload caused by the volume of data transmitted, or the overload caused by devices newly connected to the network. The third part of the thesis deals with the design and simulation improvement of M2M communication in the LTE network. A network simulator OPNET Modeler was used for the simulation.
Monitoring of System Resources Using OpenHAB Environment
Štůsek, Martin ; Kováč, Dominik (referee) ; Mašek, Pavel (advisor)
The aim this bachelor thesis is detailed familiarity with the technology OpenHAB and create functional application that displays resource usage. Monitoring of system resources won‘t be implemented only in one station, but in all instances OpenHAB in a local network. Created application also allows remote access to reference statistics, without having to connect to the same network. For obtaining system information is used system information package, which is built over SIGAR library. To transfer between stations and end-collection device is used HTTP binding and REST API. The first part of the bachelor thesis describes in detail the technology OpenHAB, the second part describes the technology used and the created applications. In the last section gives guidance on commissioning of OpenHAB on the end device.
Measurement of data network quality parameters
Ripper, David ; Kováč, Dominik (referee) ; Zeman, Václav (advisor)
The aim of this thesis was studying and describing known methods for testing transmission parameters in data networks based on protocol stack TCP/IP. Firstly were individual transmission parameters specified and determined their impact on service quality. Another aim was to carry out a comparison of the different methodologies of measurement of transmission parameters, performed their qualifications on the basis of these findings and methodology for measuring service quality from the user's perspective was proposed. It was a web application where users measured basic transmission parameters, then the users judged videos according to the evaluation scale MOS (Mean Opinion Score) and with the help of these data was analysis, classification connection and impact of connection on MOS evaluation.
Automated accounting system of phone calls
Kondler, Radim ; Kováč, Dominik (referee) ; Číka, Petr (advisor)
The thesis deals with the numbering plan, PBX, tariffs, draft disable tariff system and its possible extensions. Within numbering plans work deals with shapes of national and international figures, describes different types of these numbers, description of the structure and definition of fields, including the length of these fields. Within countries and regions of the Czech Republic are given individual prefix for both fixed and mobile networks. There are mentioned special shapes that are different in length compared to standard types. All these types of shapes are listed according to ITU-T. Within the exchanges are given generation switches, PBXs use within the telephone network and a description of the selected functions. Furthermore, there are kinds of pricing and options of valuation call. The work contains a description of automated acconting system, according to the principle of work of the program and a description of the individual steps and functions that thanks to the cooperation process individually each calls, convert numbers to international form, assigns the call tariff and appreciate the call according to the tariff. Finally, there are described possible extensions of this automated acconting system.
Functionality verification of GRP routing protocol in OPNET Modeler environment
Kováč, Dominik ; Růčka, Lukáš (referee) ; Molnár, Karol (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis "Functionality verification of the routing protocol GPR in the OPNET Modeler environment" focuses on MANET networks question and deals with routing processes in these networks. This thesis includes a theoretical analysis of the GRP routing protocol. Furthermore, there is a step-by-step creation of a MANET simulation model with GPR routing protocol in OPNET Modeler and its subsequent simulations to verify the functionality of the Protocol itself, its parameters and the extension of the hello paket by custom parameter.
