Interactive visualization of XML schemas in internet browser using client's XSLT
Kačina, Peter ; Kosek, Jiří (advisor) ; Dudáš, Marek (referee)
This bachelor thesis is focusing on design and implementation of prototype application, which will be used for transformation from W3C XML schema to visual form in SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) format. Visualized schema will made easier to understand it and it will be possible to use it as a part of documentation to XML files. It could be also used by developers which will develop XML documents according to the schemas. Visualized form will interpret structure of the document and will provide information about its parts -- elements, complex types and attributes. The goal of the thesis is to create a tool, which will generate interactive graphic in browser with the help of clients XSLT processor -- Saxon CE. In the beginning in the thesis are described used technologies and its way of use in this prototype application. Further in the thesis is described design of graphic model and algorithm and also described how the interactivity is functioning. In description of graphic model are shown pictures of graphic interpretations of each structure mentioned hereinbefore. In following chapter is the algorithm, which main responsibility is to mine data from the source XML document and ensuring of interactivity, described in more detail. Practical output is prototype XSLT transformation, which with the help of clients XSLT processor Saxon CE will transform any W3C XML schema into graphic representation.
Conversion of Markdown documents to DocBook format
Šmíd, Martin ; Šlajchrt, Zbyněk (advisor) ; Kosek, Jiří (referee)
Main purpose of this thesis is to design software enabling a conversion of Markdown format into DocBook. This converter is developed in XSLT 2.0 language and serves not only as XSL stylesheet, which can be used by DocBook users, but also as a stand-alone implementation of Markdown in a new environment. Firstly, both formats are analyzed from the perspective of their specification and usage. Requirements are specified based on the analysis and together with the use cases are defining the functionality. Thesis continues with the design of general logic, which serves as a base of actual implementation of converter. Web application, which presents practical usage of converter's functionality, is also part of this work. Own contribution of the work is to create an open-source program that enriches the user community with a new tool and also demonstrates the capabilities of XSLT 2.0 technology.
Analýza investičních produktů tuzemských a zahraničních bank
Kosek, Jiří ; Musílek, Petr (advisor) ; Derner, Tomáš (referee)
The objective of this thesis is to show different types of investment opportunities that a small investor has on a standard banking market. Subsequently they are analyzed from both theoretical and practical aspects. The reader will be able to see pros and cons of e.g. traditional saving products, mutual funds and many others. Services will be among other assessed from an international perspective. The main intention of this analysis is to find such financial products, to which a small investor has access and that can be recommended as a meaningful investment.
Means of Processing of Documents in DocBook stored in ZIP Archive
Hrachovec, Jakub ; Kosek, Jiří (advisor) ; Šimůnek, Milan (referee)
The purpose of this thesis is to define a format based on ZIP archive for DocBook documents which would allow their easier handling, e.g. copying or sending them as an attachment with an e-mail. The second goal is creation of an appliaction in the Java programming language which would allow packaging of DocBook documents into the defined format and subsequently their processing and transformation into PDF, HTML and another formats. The results of this thesis allow easier sharing of DocBook documents which are packaged into an archive alongside files referenced from these documents. Firstly, I am going to describe two already existing formats that are based on ZIP archive and these formats are going to inspire me during the definition of a suitable format for DocBook documents that include images and stylesheets. Afterwards I am going to describe operation and funcionality of the created application and finally I am going to prepare a DocBook document which will be packaged into a DocBook archive and transformed into PDF and HTML.
Automatizace nasazení PHP aplikací
Bauer, Tomáš ; Kosek, Jiří (advisor) ; Pavlíček, Luboš (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with the delivery of software products to end users and automation of related processes. After the initial introduction to the issue of deployment, as it is defined by one of the widely used software engineering methodology RUP (Rational Unified Process), the thesis devotes to practices as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery and Continuous Deployment which are directly oriented to the delivery of a software product based on automated processes. The second part depicts the design and the implementation of the solution for automation of the deployment of web applications in PHP within the specific developer company. The design part itself covers the analysis of the current state of the manual deploying process of business applications along with possible ways of automation its parts (updating the source code and database schema, application configuration, etc.), the definition of essential requirements for the solution and analysis of available tools which is the base for the selection of the most suitable tools for each component forming the resulting solution. The thesis also depicts interesting or nontrivial parts of implementation of each component, the practical case of usage of the system, the subsequent evaluation of the resulting solution along with estimated benefits and suggestions for the future expansion of its functionality.
Creation of trading strategies based on technical analysis
Kosek, Jiří ; Musílek, Petr (advisor) ; Vacek, Vladislav (referee)
In my thesis I would like to explain the issues of technical analysis and her consequences for financial derivatives trading. I tried to interpret the basic techical patterns and most common technical indicators. I also explain the elementary information about futures contracts and their principles in relation to the current world trends regarding computerization of trading or establishing exchange alliances. In the next stage I will describe popular strategies, wich will be analyzed and backtested. My thesis also includes rules how to evaluate a trading concept properly. The main part of my work is in the third section, where I try to enhance a particular strategy with money management or optimization. My goal is to improve the trading concepts efficiency in the market. Last step is to show critical methods which are necessary for veriffying a strategy robustness and evaluating its potential.
XML support in modern web browsers.
Mansfeldová, Kateřina ; Kosek, Jiří (advisor) ; Chudán, David (referee)
This thesis offers a closer look into technologies based on XML or working with XML. All these technologies can be used in modern browsers. The goal of the thesis is to give a comprehensive overview of XML support in today's modern browsers, with mobile browsers being included. To reach the object of the thesis, different tests will be used. The technologies are chosen by their expected support, followed by their short introduction and the closer look. The thesis assumes that readers are familiar with XML technologies.
Využití formátu XBRL pro analýzu účetních dat
Šťastný, Daniel ; Kosek, Jiří (advisor) ; Hendl, Petr (referee)
This thesis demonstrates the use of XML (eXtensible Markup Language) instance documents based on XBRL taxonomy (eXtensible Business Reporting Language) for financial statement analysis. It illustrates how XBRL could change data workflow in order to decrease the costs of maintaining, reporting and analyzing financial data. The practical output is a software extension of MS Excel that can read and analyze online XBRL documents prepared as HTML with embedded XBRL. The theoretical part comprises an explanation of the technical background XBRL and important data workflows related to financial analysis and reporting financial data.
Visualisation of musical notation using XML technologies
Vacek, Matěj ; Kosek, Jiří (advisor) ; Šimůnek, Milan (referee)
This thesis focuses on the visualization of musical notation. Even for such a small group of data, there is a specification (MusicXML) which can be used for converting between different softwares. The development of musical notation has been going on for centuries and it has become very complex by now, because composers want to express all their thoughts. Therefore, I have decided to limit the supported part of musical notation and in this thesis, I will focus only on the area of simple Czech folk songs, which have their own specifics. The songs will be displayed in SVG format. This format is based on vector graphics. Transfer between the original and SVG file will be implemented by using XSLT transformation, which is created in this thesis. As far as I am concerned, there is no such already existing transformation.
Possibilities of XSLT in the current web browsers
Bittner, Ondřej ; Kosek, Jiří (advisor) ; Kliegr, Tomáš (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to analyse possibilities of current web browsers in performing XSLT transformations. Individual browsers are compared by variety of different aspects such as: the level of implementation of XSLT 1.0 and XSLT 2.0, possibilities for invoking trasnformations and performance during XSLT processing. The analysis aims on flaws, special features or non-standard behavior of indiviual browsers. Possibilities for XSLT transformations in browsers using non-native instruments are researched as well. The conclusion of this thesis is dedicated to description of sample application that is using XSLT transformations.
