Approaching the concept of Sublime in the context of Visual Perception In this thesis, I will discuss the concept of the feeling of the phenomenon of "the sublime" in the context of visual perception. Starting with Burke and Kant's classification of the sublime, I will gradually move on to other authors such as F. Nietzsche, J.F. Lyotard and Georges Bataille. The different approaches are illustrated and accompanied by selected abstract works. The main intention of the text is to outline the various understandings and conceptions of the concept and their development.
