Practical testing of methods for analysis of reliability in specific circuit applications
Buba, Ondřej ; Kincl, Zdeněk (referee) ; Šotner, Roman (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the method which are useful for analysis of reliability in specific circuit applications. It also deals with fault analysis in frequency, time and DC domain. Methods for these domains are described in other chapter of this thesis. Finally methods for diagnostics analog circuit are evaluated based on simulation and practical testing of selected methods.
Analog Circuits Faults Diagnosis
Váško, Ondřej ; Kolka, Zdeněk (referee) ; Kincl, Zdeněk (advisor)
The main goal of this work is to present the issue of testing analogue linear circuits in terms of diagnosis of single components for which it is sought to prove their nominal values. It is necessary for the work to introduce methods of describing linear circuits via the node voltage method (MUN), and production of transmissive functions. The Matlab and PSpice programmes are used to do the diagnoses. The testing of single parameters of the circuit is carried out through proper placing of testing points in the circuit the way in which their number is as small as possible. Through transmissive functions we indirectly state the values of components operating on calculated frequencies. The set of frequencies for the components is figured out using the stochastic method.
Acquisition unit for analog filters measurements
Vríčan, Peter ; Kubíček, Michal (referee) ; Kincl, Zdeněk (advisor)
This thesis deals with frequency filters and their realization. The main aim was to design conception and involvement of acquisition unit for analog filters automatic measurements. Acquisition unit consists of its bulb with seven analog filters. Contained filters are 3 active analog filters ARC of second series ( LP, HP, BP ), 3 passive analog filters RC of second series ( HP, BP, BS ) and the filter with lossless grounded gyrator. Whole measurement, frequency setting of generator, measured filter selection and data sending is automatically operated by microprocessor controlled by PC. Communication between microprocessor and PC is realized via USB interface. Unit realization, testing and creating of control software was the next goal of thesis. Its achieved parameters from measurement of filter frequency responses are compared with responses of the simulations of the same filters using PSpice. The thesis is focused also on causes of differences between real and theoretical filter responses, which includes mainly tolerances and parasitic properties of applied components.
Advanced waterproof flashlight for extreme condition
Šerík, Martin ; Kubíček, Michal (referee) ; Kincl, Zdeněk (advisor)
The work is focusing on the search for available solutions concerning the choice of components for advanced waterproof flashlight for extreme conditions and on building this device. After comparing the individual parameters the following components were selected: as a source of energy - four AAA batteries eneloop distributed by Sanyo, high-brightness LED CREE XP-G and microcontroller ATtiny24 distributed by Atmel. The user interaction is realized by support of capacitive touch buttons and the charging of the lighting device is wireless. The light is placed on the handlebar using a specialized holder.
Methods for testing of analog circuits
Vhodnou volbou testovacích kmitočtů lze potlačit chyby měření a chyby způsobené výrobními tolerancemi obvodových prvků. Navržené metody pro optimální volbu kmitočtů byly statisticky ověřeny metodou MonteCarlo. Pro zvýšení přesnosti a snížení výpočetní náročnosti poruchové analýzy byly vyvinuty postupy založené na metodě nejmenších čtverců a přibližné symbolické analýze.
Frequency filters controlled via microprocessors
Bronec, David ; Kincl, Zdeněk (referee) ; Biolková, Viera (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the microprocessor-controlled frequency filter project. The main goal of the thesis is to present basic terms and principles of frequency filters and active frequency filters for cascading synthesis. Furthermore, the work contains information on digital potentiometers. The thesis includes circuit simulations and a project of connecting with a printed circuit board. The last chapter contains the results of the measurements.
Communication protocols for Free-Space Optical links
Šedo, Ondrej ; Kincl, Zdeněk (referee) ; Kolka, Zdeněk (advisor)
This master’s thesis is focused on behaviour of the TCP/IP protocol on free-space optical link which is affected by the effect of atmospheric turbulence. This causes fluctuation of the received optical power and therefor bit error rate changes. In the simulation model short-time bit error rate is calculated from random generated received optical signal and then used in time-domain analysis of the OMNeT++ network simulator. A buffer in transmitter is designed based on simulation results. It pauses the data transmitting in cases of FSO link outage. This method is then implemented into FPGA device.
Controler for brushless motors
Zdařil, Tomáš ; Bradáč, Zdeněk (referee) ; Kincl, Zdeněk (advisor)
The goal of the thesis was to design and create one-way speed controler for brushless DC motors, that is used in air modeling. The circuit is controlled by the Atmel AVR. As power unit for motor is used Li–pol accumulator. The controller is equipped with BEC to power the receiver and allows monitoring of current consumption and voltage on the accumulator. Measured data can be upload to a PC where they can be displayed by RegulatorPC in graphical form.
Wireless thermostat
Králíček, Martin ; Viščor, Ivo (referee) ; Kincl, Zdeněk (advisor)
The Master’s thesis discusses wireless thermostat for a control boiler. In order to complete the project we have to design and realise the whole project with software design. The system contains two units, a master control and a measurement of regulation units. The project initially talks about regulation of heating systems for family houses and larger buildings like schools and stores for example. Next, the project describes the control and regulation units and their potential extension for effective and economical operation. Both units are equipped with microcontrollers, which these control each of function. The communication between both units is provided by wireless interface in free radio band ISM. There is a user interface for the master control unit’s regulation process. The measurement and regulation unit has only the possibility to switch between manual and automatic control for regulation of heating system.
Multifunction display for ground power supply
Kincl, Zdeněk ; Kubíček, Michal (referee) ; Kolka, Zdeněk (advisor)
The aim of this thesis was to design a concept and circuit for multifunction display. This unit is used in ground power supply for preflighting preparation of army helicopters. Multifunction display measures voltages and currents of AC and DC generators, teperatures of cooling air and fuel quantity. Display indicates a operational and fault states of ground power supply. The main element of multifunction display is 32-bit microprocessor from the manufacturer NXP, family ARM7. All information are displaying on graphic vacuum fluorescent display GU256x128.
