1 Abstrakt In this study we have been dealing with the problems of recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis. To this time the etipatogenesis of this illness hasn't been explained and the question of the cure hasn't been resolved. Among the most frequent etiologies we consider repeated antibiotic therapies, contraceptive usages, the disfunctious of the immune system, improper sexual activities and hyperglycemia. The first obvious healing methods are azol derivatives. These devices can be progressively helpful in getting on with the acute attacks of VVC, but they don't mean the solution of recurrence at all. The object of this study is the statistical elaboration of the data required from the discussion on server www.doktorka.cz. We have been specialized in information related with infection vulvovaginal candidiasis. We have been interested in the therapy of the vaginal discomfort and recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis. The aim of the work has been to find the most representative pharmaceuticals registers in the Czech Republic, food accessories and precaution which help or fail in the treatment of vaginal discomfort and recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis. The results are recapitulated in data graphs and tables. The conclusion accentuated the pharmaceuticals, food accessories and precaution which are the best in...

1 Abstract Diploma thesis deals with recurrent vulvovaginal dyscomfort, which is most common problem solved in gynecologist's office. At least once within the lifespan troubles these disease more than 75% women. Five to 10% percent of female population in the fertile age has repeated attacks of colpitis. This study involved university students (n = 145). Incidence of recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis (RVVC) like dyscomfort in was 11%. The goal of this study was the determination of predisposing factors with help of questionnaire based search. Each questionnaire comprises 49 structured questions. The return ratio was 72,8%. The RVVC group involved women, who reported 4 and more episodes of vulvar dyscomfort (itching, swelling, burning or discharge) in the last year or in at least in one of last four years. The control group represented 42 women (28, 9%) with no history of any symptoms mentioned above. By evaluation of the questionnaire we have described number of factors, which increase risk of RVVC, these are primarily: diet high in sugar, continuous use of panty-liners in time outside of menses, taking a long hot shower, wearing tight trousers, smoking of cigarettes, higher number of sexual partners, shaving of pubic hair for the most part, higher frequency of sexual intercourses, non-coital sexual...

1 ABSTRACT In this study we are dealing with problems of recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis. Vulvovaginal candidiasis is one of the most frequent genital infections. It is hypothesized that 75% of woman experience during their reproductive age at least 1 episode of VVC in their lifetime. RVVC can be defined as four or more attacks of symptomatic vulvovaginal candidiasis in 12 month period. The true incidence of RVVC remains unknown. Estimates over many years suggest that the incidence is approximately 5%, another recent study determined that the incidence is approximately 8% woman during their reproductive age. Our study determined that the incidence is approximately 7,6%. For purpose of this study were made questionnaires, which help to examine possible risk factors of RVVC. Each questionnaire is composed of 17 pages and contains 49 questions. Fulltext of the questionnaire is showed in enclosure. Questionnaire contain 15 heavily-circumscribed questions addressed only to woman, that have experience repeated episodes of vulvovaginal candidiasis. A sample of 199 woman were interviewed, 184 of them completed our questionnaire (92,5%). By evaluation of the questionnaire we have described number of factors, which increase risk of RVVC, these are primarily: diet high in sugar, continuous use of panty-liners in...

1. Summary This thesis examines the impact of life contentment, general attitude towards life, and stress on recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis (RVVK) which is considered to be one of the most common vaginal infections. It is widely stated that approximately 75% of women suffer from vulvovaginal candidiasis at least once in a lifetime. The recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis is defined as three, respectively four or more attacks of the vulvovaginal candidiasis within one year. Background: The aim of this thesis is to verify whether stress is one of RVVC initiating agents and whether method used of collecting data in homogenous cohort is usable for more heterogeneous and bigger group of women. Methods: Data from woman patients have been obtained through specifically designed questionnaires with one part comprising a set of questions aimed at life contentment and a degree of stress vulnerability. These questionnaires have been completed by 329 women, a return ratio of 82.7%). Data were statistically analysed by means of Student's t-test. Results: The findings reveal that the patients' contentment belonging to the RVVK category compared with a control group proves lower, in some areas showing even significant statistical disproportion. The most apparent discrepancy has been discovered in terms of contentment...

Univerzita Karlova v Praze, Farmaceutická fakulta v Hradci Králové Studijní obor: farmacie Diplomová práce Kristína Arnoldová Predispoziční faktory rekurentní vulvovaginální kandidózy VII. 2010 Summary This thesis continues in research of other works at Department of Biological and Medical Sciences, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové, Charles University, Prague, which deal with RVVC issue and its predisposing factors. RVVC is defined as 3 or 4 and more attacks of VVC in one year. It particularly befalls the women of childbearing age. Cases of RVVC have been on the rise mainly for last decades. 75 % of reproductive- age women will experience at least one episode of VVC in their lifetime and half of these repeatedly. 5 % will evolve RVVC. However, the causality of primary, idiopathic RVVC remains poorly understood. Our target was to gain information about the contentment with some areas of life in the sample of woman-population. To gather such information, we used questionnaires. Respondents comprised of homogenous group, mostly university students. They could use 7 grades of evaluating scale. We divided them into 2 groups according to our own criteria: RVVC group and control group. Then we mutually compared their data about the extent of contentment with the statements in the questionnaire. Results were...
