The new town hall for Brno Stred is the icing on the cake following the planned large-scale construction of the new Main Railway Station and the Trnitá district, which should connect this railway station with the historic center. Such a change will significantly affect the expression of the city center, and such a step definitely has to include a modern representative institution. The concept is situated on the edge of the historic center at the estuary of the planned boulevard of the Trnitá district in Nové sady, above which the dominant of Brno Petrov rises. For this reason, the design of the town hall must be sufficiently representative, but at the same time lowly towards the historic buildings. Along with this fact, I am trying to answer the question of what the town hall of the 21st century should look like.

Křenek, Roman ; Havlíček, Tomáš (referee) ; Nový, Vítězslav (advisor)
The subject of the diploma thesis is aiming for a new image of a cultural centre located on the square of Velké Němčice town. This project purifies the main objects, emphasizes their character and connects them with a light construction. This construction provides dignified background and one entrance to these objects and also unifies the shattered facade exposed to the town square.

Zlepšení fotoluminescenčních vlastností pomocí autoorganizace blokových kopolymerů

We report on enhancement of photoluminescence of conjugated homopolymers based on poly(p-phenylene) in blends with poly(styrene-block-4-vinylpyridine) copolymer (BC). Using self-organization of BC we may avoid aggregation of the homopolymers. We have got nanostructured films of the blends depending on type of the homopolymer. Enhancement of photoluminescence is also observed.
