Women's Identity in Czechoslovakian Press 1948-1960: Content Analysis of "Vlasta" Journal

The thesis deals on the example of the magazine Vlasta with the means of construction of female identity in Czechoslovakian press in 1948 - 1960. It analyses the norm-making examples of female identity, their changes during the watched period and examines the extent to which the examples disrupt or fortify traditional gender relations. Given issue is put into historical and social context of post-February Czechoslovakia, while it focuses especially on implementation of so called soviet model in Czechoslovakia. In particular it focuses on the analysis of solution of women's question in Marxist-Leninist theory. Further it formulates the elemental forms of norm-making examples of female identity and analyses their changes during the watched period and their impact on gender relations. Further it focuses on the solution of question, to what extent were they slavishly taken over soviet model, respectively if it is possible to find some specifics dependent on the distinctive Czechoslovakian conditions. Greek civil war in the Czech press

The main goal of this work is the description of possible images of greek civil war, that arose in Czech daily press during January 1946 and October 1949, thus during so-called third round of the civil war, because we can understand it as an incicator of that how was this conflict interpreted, what was knowledge about the conflict of interests of the Great Powers like, and of importance, that was given to this conflict by Czech political stage. The description is elaborated by probe in main nationwide daily journals. Most of the materials was found in collection of Ministry of Foreign Affairs - Cutting archive, which is deposited in National archive. Relevancy of this source was verified by partial probes into individual journals. Chapters, that serves as the introduction into context, were elaborated only on secondary sources. Accomplished description proves, that, before the communists took power in February 1948, there were two images of the conflict (democratic and communistic), which differed from each other in putting accent on different aspects, intensity of writing about he conflict and in used language. Vliv účinných látek z rostlin na kvasinky kontaminující mléko a mléčné výrobky

The purpose of this graduation theses is to enlighten the mechanism which influences active substances from plants in specific yeasts types. Literature research focuses on yeasts and their importace in dairy as well as antimicrobial influence of active substances in plants. Three types of essential oils were selected for the purpose of experimental determination; essential oil from melissa, essentiaĺ oil from rosemary and essential oil from thyme. Antimicrobial effect of essential oils was tested on specific yeasts types, isolated from specific dairy products samples. The next step after yeasts identification was testing antimicrobial influence of essential oils using disk diffusion method and broth dilution method. The influence of essential oils was tested in two concentrations, 1 % and 10 %. The best result employing the disk diffusion method was achieved using 10 % concentration essential oil from melissa. Essential oil from rosemary resulted as worse option. The best effect employing the broth dilution method was measured when using the essential oil of rosemary, whereas the essential oil derived from thyme showed the least effect.
