Evaluation of Investments in Energy Saving Measures
Štěpánková, Kristýna ; Huml, Tomáš (referee) ; Hanák, Tomáš (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with energy-saving measures implemented in buildings, financing of investments in these measures and methods of economic evaluation. The theoretical part describes how to determine the energy performance of buildings, types of energy-saving measures, funding opportunities and economic evaluation. The practical part describes the energy-saving measures, carried out on two prefabricated buildings and the method of financing and economic evaluation of these investments.
Investment Construction Co-financed from EU Funds
Kymlička, Aleš ; Huml, Tomáš (referee) ; Hrabincová, Dagmar (advisor)
The main topic of my thesis called „Investment construction co-financed from EU Funds“ is basic description of principles and objectives of of structural (cohesion) policy including its development and instrument for its application – EU Funds. Specific attention is dedicated to Structural Funds and Cohesion Fund. The attention is also focused on Financial perspective for period 2007 – 2013 in theoretical part. Also the prediction for next multiannual financial Framework 2014+ is mentioned in the part. Practical part comprises description, analysis and evaluation of finished construction Project co-financed by Structural Funds. This project was carried out whithin Regional operation programme North-West and it solved the issue of „brownfields“ in the city center.
Portfolio Optimisation
Huml, Tomáš ; Barták, Roman (advisor) ; Surynek, Pavel (referee)
The goal of this work is to propose an algorithm selecting an optimal portfolio from input projects, which are assessed by costs, profits and potential risk. Any interdependencies can be defined among these input projects. Summary of alternative approaches concerning this topic is part of this work too. Program implementing proposed algorithm is attached to this work. Output of program computation is a portfolio achieving the highest possible profit as well as satisfying all of input constraints and defined interdependencies among the projects. The program allows graph comparison of resulted portfolios and provides detail information about each portfolio.
Project portfolio optimisation with time and resources
Huml, Tomáš ; Barták, Roman (advisor) ; Vlach, Milan (referee)
Title: Project portfolio optimization with time and resources Author: Bc. Tomáš Huml Department: Department of Theoretical Computer Science and Mathematical Logic Supervisor: Doc. RNDr. Roman Barták, Ph.D Abstract: Traditional project portfolio optimization deals with static projects that are not evolving in time. The focus of this diploma thesis is on projects that are spread in time, typically such projects consists of a sequence (or other partially ordered structure) of actions that require some resources (money, people, etc.) for realization. Then the project portfolio optimization deals with selecting a subset of projects according to given time and space (resource) restrictions and optimizing certain criteria such as overall profit. This problem is very close to oversubscribed scheduling where the most profitable subset of orders is being scheduled. Hence scheduling techniques will be the main inspiration for solving this new type of problems. Lots of modelling algorithms for optimal portfolio selection are proposed in this diploma thesis and several of them are implemented in a program which is part of this thesis as well. Keywords: portfolio optimization, integer linear programming (ILP), workflow optimization, project interdependencies
Ľubochňanci and work abroad
Huml, Tomáš ; Kuchař, Pavel (advisor) ; Grznár, Miroslav (referee)
My bachelor thesis is based on a qualitative analysis of nine interviews with young people from Luboch a who have been or still are working abroad. I am trying to find out from their experiences what reasons make them leave their home in Slovakia and start working in another country. In the theoretical part, I broadly describe the problem of labour migration of people form Slovakia and I characterize the village that my respondents come from. In the analytical part, I describe their reasons to leave, I concentrate on the countries they choose as their destinations and on their relationship to their home village, Luboch a. I also focus on their experience with working abroad and their view on other migrant workers from Slovakia. Based on the enunciations of the respondents, I conclude that the decision to leave Luboch a is mostly influenced by the economic factors, such as a lack of work opportunities on the local labour market and insufficient financial compensation for the labour. But these factors are not the only reasons for the decision to leave. The decision is also influenced by many other reasons that make them leave their home and the commitments they leave behind. I have tried to describe all these different circumstances in the thesis as well.

Role informačních a komunikačních technologií (IKT) v zemědělském sektoru Kambodži
