Solved problems in Theoretical Mechanics to Electronic Database of Solved Tasks
Hruška, Viktor ; Dvořák, Leoš (advisor) ; Šabatka, Zdeněk (referee)
Solved Problems in Theoretical Mechanics to Electronic Database of Solved Tasks Abstract: The main goal of this bachelor thesis was to create set of tasks with structural hints and detailed solution in the field of theoretical mechanics. 16 tasks were created and published within The Electronic Collection of Solved Problems in Physics on the web. The tasks are meant to serve the university level students and they are adapted for self study. Keywords: theoretical mechanics, principle of virtual work, Lagrange equations of the second kind, electronic collection of tasks, structured solutions of tasks
Methods of the new experimental procedures in the field of physical acoustics of wind instruments
Hruška, Viktor ; Otčenášek, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Obdržálek, Jan (referee)
This thesis deals with the problematic of methods of measurement of the acoustical behavior in the field of brass wind instruments. The principles of videokymography are shown and a new kymography-based method of high-speed measuring of lips opening area is derived and described. Various other methods are discussed. The essential physics of brasses is explained. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Acoustics of interaction of unsteady flows with periodic structures
Hruška, Viktor ; Bednařík, Michal (advisor)
Acoustics of interaction of unsteady flows with periodic structures Viktor Hruška ABSTRACT This thesis deals with chosen topics from the aeroacoustics of periodic structures. A critical analysis of the application of the frequency-domain linearized Navier-Stokes equations on the case of sound transmission above a corrugated plate with non-zero airflow was conducted. It was found out that the correspondence with the experiment is very limited in this case due to problems with the linearization of the hydrodynamical perturbations. An extension and clarification of the previously proposed phenomenological model for sound generation in corrugated pipes were given and the model was tested against the experimental data. In order to assess the influence of finite-amplitude sound propagation on the source-resonance coupling, a weakly-nonlinear model was proposed as an extension to the linear one. Next, it was investigated how the periodic arrangement of heat exchanger coolant tubes affects the sound propagation and whether it can be described as a sonic crystal. It was shown that even for finite structures consisting of four rows of coolant tubes the theory of wave propagation through periodic media is applicable and proves to be in accordance with the experiment. The noise generated by the unsteady flow through...
History of Czech Music Theory till the 20th Century
Hruška, Viktor ; HAVLÍK, Jaromír (advisor) ; TICHÝ, Vladimír (referee)
The thesis consists of two parts: summary of the history of the czech music theory from the epoch of Charles IV. till the beginning of the 20th century and topics of the original research. The latter one contains three studies published during the doctoral programme. The first serve as a draft of an editorial note for the future reedition of the major theoretical work by Jakub Jan Ryba (Rudimentary and general basics to all the art of music). The second one deals with the rediscovery of one of the oldest harmony textbooks in czech. The third describes the beginnings of czech music acoustics in 19th century.

Work of the selected Theorists of the beginnings of the music Theory in czech Language
Hruška, Viktor ; HAVLÍK, Jaromír (advisor) ; Štědroň, Miloš (referee)
This thesis deals with the problematic of the early history of music theory in czech lands from the foundation of the Charles University until the foundation of the Prague Conservatory (it includes theorists such as Václav Philomathes, Jan Blahoslav, Jan Josquin, Tomáš Baltazar Janovka or Jakub Jan Ryba). The second part is deals with the peculiar music theorist and philosopher Karel Slavoj Amerling.
Symphonic works of Jean Sibelius
Hruška, Viktor ; Tichý, Vladimír (advisor) ; Kvěch, Otomar (referee)
The thesis deals with the issues of significant topics in the symphonic works of finnish composer Jean Sibelius. The first part contains details of historical circumstances of these compositions, the second one is based on analysis of the symphonies nr. 1-6. We are aiming to discover the differences between Sibelius´ works and traditional paradigms.
