Biometric Performance Testing of Signature Technology
Homola, Petr ; Drahanský, Martin (referee) ; Fiala, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused to possibilities of biometrics of dynamics signature. The first part is devoted to general explanations of basic concepts and standards for measuring effectiveness. Explains the problematics of processing characteristics of the signature. Descibes the equipment of the appropriate components for capturing the dynamic signature. The main section deals with testing abillities of verification of user and identification and testing the posibillities of deception devices. Presents design and implementation of program for identification. Records the progress and results of all performed tests.
Piston Rings of Modern Diesel Engines
Homola, Petr ; Knotek, Jiří (referee) ; Raffai, Peter (advisor)
This bachelor thesis concentrates on piston rings and is divided into several points. First point deals with the functions of piston rings and with the demands for them, in the second point there is a division according to the type of the ring and constructing solution. Another chapter deals with materials that are used the most when fabricating piston rings and the last chapter deals with the surfacing that is used the most.
Crank Train of a V6 Compression-ignition Engine
Homola, Petr ; Píštěk, Václav (referee) ; Drápal, Lubomír (advisor)
This master thesis, concentrated on crank train mechanism of diesel V6 engines with special focus on design and construction of crankshaft, is divided in two main phases. First phase is concept, which contains brief introduction of diesel V-engines construction, parameters of chosen engine unit, especially crank train mechanism, design of crankshaft and 1D analysis of torsional vibrations. Second phase is layout, this phase deals with MBS 3D analysis with flexible FEM models of crankshaft and engine block. These outputs are used for fatigue analysis of crankshaft.
Automatic Recognition of Mouse Gestures for Application Controlling
Bedecs, Vladimír ; Homola, Petr (advisor) ; Mírovský, Jiří (referee)
In the present work we study problems of automatic recognition of mouse gestures for application controlling. This includes creation of program, which is able to recognize already defined gestures made by mouse and with them provides controlling of applications. The program is written or operating system Windows. This work includes description of some algorithms for recognition of mouse gestures, which are used in enclosed program Mouse Gestures. Also analyzes hook techniques of operating system and uses them for application controlling. An important chapter of this work is processing of gesture's meaning, which includes gesture's meaning structures implementation, so that the processing of gesture's meaning can be most effective. In the last pages of this work can reader find some advices and tutorials for using made application.
Software for a Czech-Chinese and Chinese-Czech dictionary
Hudeček, Jan ; Homola, Petr (advisor) ; Straňák, Pavel (referee)
Czech-Chinese and Chinese-Czech dictionary is an electronic dictionary which can be used both by a beginner or a seasoned translator. It allows searching in both directions and a fulltext search for given expression. Data access is hybrid - the program checks if it can access the database - if it fails it reads the data files. Moreover users can change the data source at run-time. The program builds indexes on the data file speeding searches up considerably. Indexes can be hashtables or binary trees. Asynchronous multithreaded IO was implemented to enhance the comfort of the GUI. The .NET framework and MS SQL Server as a platform guarantees rapid development, deployment and scalability - for example adding a web application to the project would be quite easy. At the same time the design of the system allows for future improvements - for instance editing the dictionary from the GUI.
Výpočet stromových charakteristik v dubovém porostu pomocí letecké a pozemní fotogrammetrie
Homola, Petr
The bachelor thesis deals with the utilization of aerial and terrestrial photogrammetry for calculation of main tree variables, diameter at the breast height (DBH) and height. Both methods and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) that were used for purposes of aerial photogrammetry are described by the available literature. The fieldwork is divided into two parts; terrestrial and aerial work. Terrestrial work includes the measurement of tree heights, DBHs and terrestrial photogrammetric imagery. Aerial works includes aerial photogrammetric imagery which was carried out by UAV. All the methods of field works and procedures of office work are described in the methodical section, where a description of the works is given for each activity. The final part of the work consists of result evaluation, comparison of the accuracy of the methods, evaluation of time requirements and assessment, whether the methods could be used in practice.
Lze využít samoprořeďování buku v pěstování lesů?
Homola, Petr
The thesis deals with the use of the process of self-spinning in growing beech stands. The classical method of growing beech stands is described in the available literature, which focuses on the process from restoration to educational interventions in rods. The literature review also mentions a selective method in beech farming. Furthermore, the process of self-dilution is outlined, where the operation of this process is described. The methodological part includes preparatory work, fieldwork and office work, each of which is sent as it was done, whether in the office or in the field. Field work includes, for example, measuring the height and thickness of trees, measuring the height of the crown deployment, determining the quality level of the tree. The office work includes the processing of acquired data from the field into a clear database. Furthermore, data from this database were analyzed for the results. In the final part there is an evaluation of the results, which will help us to tell whether and, if so, under what conditions can this method be used in forestry practice or not.
