Kabbalah according to the teaching of Rabbi Yehuda Ashlag

The diploma thesis intends to contribute to spreading information about the holy teaching of Kabbalah in Czech language speaking environment and to help all who try to search in this area of judaism. Its subject is the teaching of the great 20th Century kabbalist Yehuda Leib Ashlag, who, for his Sulam (The Ladder) commentary on the book of Zohar, is known as "The owner of the Ladder (Baal Hasulam). The fundamentals of Ashlag's teaching, which arises from the kabbalistic system of Rabbi Isaac Luria Ashkenazi who is known as holy Ari, will be briefly presented, as well as a translation and an explanation of selected chapters from Rabbi Ashlag's book Introduction to Kabbalah (hebr. Pticha le-chochmat ha-kabala).

The scope of Bachelor thesis: "Israel and Jews in the media of contemporary Spain" is to show how spanish mass media represent Israel and Jews. I will focus as well on historical context that influenced this representation. I will describe the attitude of Franco's regime towards Jews and relations between Spain and Israel since its creation until the present day. Then I will point out some mass media theories that are relevant for my thehis. Finally I will focus on public opinion polls and deduce how influenced they are by previous occurrences.
The Vision of Rabbi Chiya in the Mirror of Kabbalistic Commentaries

This diploma thesis focuses on thorough analysis of text from Zohar I 4a-4b. First of all it deals with gendre of narrative in the Book of Zohar and then already with selected text itself. The thesis describes its "anchorage" in the zoharic literature and its functions. Futher this discourse also brings czech translation of rabbinical commentaries to the selected text, specifically commentary from the book of Ohr Yakar by rabbi Moses Cordovero and commentary from the book of Ketem Paz by rabbi Simeon ibn Lavi. The thesis analyses these commentaries in detail, compares them and so it shows, how kabbalists of 16. century perceived this text. The last chapter describes the influence of the selected story and its parallels. The methodology of this thesis is comparation of traditional Jewish literature, but the thesis takes notice of modern scientific publications as well.
The Elements of New Age in Contemporary Judaism (so called Jewish Renewal)

Master thesis "The Elements of New Age in Contemporary Judaism (so called Jewish Renewal)" deals with mutual relationship between Judaism and New Age movement. In the first part it describes their main mutual elements such as holism, monism, environmentalism, tender issues and esotericism. The second part is focused on Jewish Renewal movement, which aroused in 60's of 20th century in the United states of America. This movement is transdenominational neoschasidic movement, which tries to renew Judaism through Chasidic and kabalistic thoughts adapted to present days, it emphasizes personal spirituality. The third part talks about the Jewish elements within new Age, which are mainly kabbalah and Jewish mysticism. The fourth part describes the phenomenon of dual religious identity, whose the best known groups are Messianic Jews, Jews for Allah, Jewbus and Hinjews.
