Methodology of the measurement speed approach at jumping events
Wagner, Štěpán ; Feher, Jan (advisor) ; Hojka, Vladimír (referee)
Title: Methodology of the measurement of the speed approach at jumping events Objectives: The objective of this thesis is to provide the methodology of measuring the approach speed using a radar, a camera and a photocell. It also aims to compare the individual devices for measuring the approach speed (the camera, the photocell, the radar) and to state their advantages and disadvantages. Last but not least, the thesis will define usage of data from measuring for the purposes of coaching practice. Methods: In my thesis I used the document analysis method. I used foreign publication as well as Czech literature as my sources. The foreign sources consisted mainly of specialized magazine articles or online publications focused on the topic of measuring the approach speed and the athletic event of jumping. As for the Czech literature, it comprised mainly of books about the athletic event of jumping. Gathered information was used during the experiment itself and during data assessment. Results: The difference among the individual devices can be clearly seen from the results, the recorded times differed by 0,01-0,02 s. The difference is noticeable even in the methodology of measuring and in data assessment. At the end, it was determined according to the coaching criteria, which device is the most suitable...
The influence of isokinetic force on CODS performance of football players
Žáček, Adam ; Hojka, Vladimír (advisor) ; Červinka, Pavel (referee)
Title: The influence of level of isokinetic force on CODS performance of football players. Objectives: The main goal is comparison of influence between isokinetic power of lower limbs and performance in CODS tests. Method: Measured group consisted of players between 15 - 19 years old from teams Motorlet Praha and Bohemians Praha. Measurement took 3 months. Players of one age category passed the tests batery in one day, that consist of agility (Arrowhead L and R, Illinois, K-test, Hexagon test, 505 L and R), Cybex was used to find informations about isokinetic force. Results: The biggest correlation was between isokinetic (IK) force and performance in CODS tests was measured between IK tests and CODS test Illinois -0,443. Other tests had from very weak to average correlation. The worst correlation was found between IK tests and Hexagon test -0,007, which showed insignificant correlation between these tests. Concentric muscle contraction achieved higher correlation than eccentric muscle contraction and with changinging degree speed was correlation in concentric muscle contraction lower, while eccentric muscle contraction correlation was slightly higher in faster degree speed. Keywords: Isokinetic force, agility, CODS, football, training
Comparison of bodytypes and proportions to performance of athletes
Pecha, Marek ; Jebavý, Radim (advisor) ; Hojka, Vladimír (referee)
Topic: Comparison of bodytypes and proportions to performance of athletes Goal: The goal is to compare bodytypes of world elite athletes from past and present in athletic throws. Second goal is to compare weight and height in different disciplines. Methods: Research in specialized sources, analyse and comparison athletes bodytypes. Comparison of bodytypes with performances in disciplines. Results: We created a document which contain if body proportions are affecting on a throwers performance in short and long therm. From our results is obvious that hight and weight are really matters in some disciplines. We found a strong dependence in javelin throw and in shot put. In disciplines where prevails rotation moves is dependence much low or there is practicaly none. In the second part we found out differences in hight and weight in throws through the time. Key words: bodytype, long performance, athletic throws, body composition, height, weight, BMI
Influence of acceleration abilities on performance in agility tests (speed of change of direction of movement)
Hrubý, Jakub ; Hojka, Vladimír (advisor) ; Kokštejn, Jakub (referee)
Name: Influence of acceleration abilities on performance in agility tests (speed of change of direction of movement) Objectives: The main goal of this work is to determine the level of agility performance with acceleration and maximum speed for football players of different age categories. Methods: To solve the problem, I used a correlation analysis. The first measurement was acceleration and peak speed measurement using photocells. The second measurement was focused on performance in change of direction speed. The resulting data from photocell measurements was processed using IBM SPSS statistics 22 and Microsoft Excel. Results: I have found that the greatest impact of the selected COD's tests has an illinois test at r = 0.596 with an almost 100% connection on the acceleration, maximum speed for 16- 17 year old footballers. In addition, it was found that the 505 test had the best connection with the AR_5 test, r = 0.418 with almost 100% acceleration related. The third best result was the arrowhead test, which got r = 0.301, a small correlation value with 90% of the acceleration and maximum speed. The worst result was found in the hexagon test, which had negative r values, ie, an absolutely insignificant correlation. Keywords: football, fitness, speed, COD's, agility, performance structure
Time for rest in explosive power
Švec, Martin ; Jebavý, Radim (advisor) ; Hojka, Vladimír (referee)
Topic: Time for rest in explosive power. Aim: Collect and analyze the data obtained from a pilot study. According to the information gathered propose a procedure for the experiment focuse on the rest period of the explosive force activity. Methods: Research, testing, field experiment, consultation with trainers and experts. Results: Based on the results, we determined testing a battery for explosive power exercises. Key words: explosivity, rest interval, throws, piloting and evaluation
Effect of warm-up method on the agility performance of rugby players
Maštera, Jan ; Hojka, Vladimír (advisor) ; Jebavý, Radim (referee)
Title: Effect of the warm-up method on the agility performance of rugby players Objectives: The thesis evaluated the effect of the warm-up type (static, dynamic, balance) on the agility performance of female rugby players and assessed which of these methods is best to apply prior to the activity. Methods: The tested sample was composed of ten players of the Czech Republic women's national rugby union team aged between 22 and 34. Each player underwent three measurements. Prior to the measurement, a different type of warm-up (static, dynamic, using balance aids) was chosen, followed by agility measurement using Illinois agility test and 505 agility tests. Results: In the measurement, hypotheses (hypothesis 1: after applying dynamic warm-up, players will achieve better agility performance than after static warm-up; hypothesis 2: after applying warm-up using balance aids, players will achieve better agility performance than static and dynamic warm-up). Hypothesis 1 was evaluated as true and hypothesis 2 was evaluated as partially true. Keywords: Rugby, agility, static warm-up, dynamic warm-up, warm-up using balance aids
