Changes in rat testicular histomorphology induced by unilateral cryptorchidism.
Parafinové tkáňové řezy byly barveny hematoxylin - eozinem, zeleným trichromem a PAS reakcí a byly zdokumentovány a vyhodnoceny pomocí mikroskopické obrazové analýzy.
The effect of MDOC on testicular tissue II. Intratesticular application of a medicament with MDOC
Havlová, Martina ; Semecký, Vladimír (advisor) ; Herink, Josef (referee)
1 Abstract The aim of my rigorose work was to inspect and assess the effects of time and application of calcium/sodium salt of microdispersed oxidised cellulose (MDOC) to the structural components of testes, especially in the time after an operational localization of one testis into the intraabdominal cavity. We used a model of an experimental unilateral cryptorchidism in the adult male Wistar rats. The surgery was performed under standard conditions using a method introduced in the Department of Biological and Medical Sciences of the Faculty of Pharmacy Charles University. The rats were killed by overdosage of aether aenesthesia and the bilateral testes were removed. The tissues were immediately histologically processed. After the histological modifications we tained the sections with hematoxylin - eosin, green trichrome, Periodic acid Schiff and toluidin blue histological stainings. The evaluation was histological with optical microscope. We compared our results with studies, which are described in the theoretical introduction of my work. In the preparations from the time interval of 7 days after surgery with injection application of 1% solution of calcium/sodium salt of MDOC under the tunica albuginea we randomly measured the diameter of the seminiferous tubules. The diameter of the tubules that...

The posibilities of a landscape restoration after send mining
Vernerová, Marie ; Vacek, Oldřich (advisor) ; Havlová, Martina (referee)
This thesis deals with the possibilities of a reclamation after sand and gravel surface minig. It is based on our knowledge of the mining activities effects on the landscape and landscape character. The impacts of mining can be seen in all levels of the landscape structure. Minig activities affects geomorphic components of the landscape as well as a land use and landscape character. The most significant changes occure as a result of an extraction of send and gravel from the wather. As a reasult of mining huge lakes appear in those areas. This brings a change of landscape character and a land use. The second used method of surface mining is a dry extraction. The review of the reclamation possibilities in the Czech Republic is aso based on law in area of mining understanding. Studied literature divides reclamation techniques into two groups. The first group is composed of a traditional reclamation, which are agricultural, forest and hydric reclamation. The second group consists of ecological restoration tools - natural and managed succession and management tools.
Zlaté Hory in context of landscape memorial zones
Gladišová, Kateřina ; Vaněk, Jindřich (advisor) ; Havlová, Martina (referee)
The thesis is divided into several chapters, which continously follow one another. The introductory part is focused on the definition and the general characteristic of the territory of the Zlaté Hory. Subsequently it deals with the detailed history of the mining town and the surrounding area from 13th century, from when the first written mention of the town has survived, to this day. The thesis describes the gradual development of mining, the methods of mining the ore, the modern extraction and the total gold production. In the next chapter there are in short outlined the historical cultural monuments and their surroundings affected by mining. A separate part consists of the local gold washing area, which are divided according to the preserved mining relicts. The last chapters are focused on the general characteristics of the landscape memorial zones and the methodology for the creation of maps, which is the output of a literary review and includes the remains after the ore extraction and surface mining. In conclusion, the potential of the site in the context of landscape memorial zones reservation is scanned. Part of the literary review, but also the whole of the thesis are my own photographs, which are trying to complement and to better navigate in the content of the entire work.

Nutritional Habits in the Lifestyle of Students of the University of South Bohemia
HAVLOVÁ, Martina
The topic of a healthy lifestyle and nutrition has been increasingly discussed these days. This topic was selected due to the fact that students lead a rather busy life full of stress, neglect their nutrition and often put nutrition in the last place of the list of their values. The text of the bachelor thesis is based on available published specialized works and Internet resources. The first chapter of the thesis contains brief characteristics of basic components of food. The second chapter addresses nutrition. It includes explanation of the importance of nutrition and rational diet, and contains nutritional recommendations for the population of the Czech Republic and basic information about alternative nutrition and its selected types. The last but one chapter is focused on physical activities which form an integral part of a healthy lifestyle. The last chapter addresses anorexia, bulimia, obesity and overweight that are often caused by improper eating habits and have been extensively discussed these days. This thesis sets 2 objectives and the related hypotheses. Objective 1: To ascertain the prevailing nutritional regimes of students of the University of South Bohemia on the basis of a quantitative research. Objective 2: To ascertain the motivation of students of the University of South Bohemia to adhere to specific nutritional and exercise regimes. Hypothesis 1: Alternative diets do not prevail in the nutritional regimes of students of the University of South Bohemia. Hypothesis 2: The most prevalent motivation of students of the University of South Bohemia to adhere to specific nutritional measures and regimes is an effort to reduce or maintain body weight. The required data were collected through a questionnaire survey. The questionnaires were distributed in electronic form in bulk to the e-mail addresses of students through the study departments of individual faculties of the University. The results were processed in statistic terms and presented in charts using the program Microsoft Office Excel. The research of this bachelor thesis shows that the results confirm hypothesis 1 and hypothesis 2. Objectives 1 and 2 of this thesis were also fully achieved. Objective 1 was achieved with this conclusion: the research has revealed that the prevailing nutritional regime of the students is based on rational nutrition but students not always follow the nutritional recommendations for the Czech Republic. Regrettably, students often eliminate or reduce the intake of certain needed foods that are found unattractive by the consumers. Objective 2 was achieved with this conclusion: the prevailing motivation of students to adhere to nutritional measures is an effort to improve or maintain the body weight; however, a comparable percentage of students do not adhere to any nutritional measure. Similar results were obtained in respect of the question aimed to clarify the motivation to adhere to exercise-related measures. 31 percent of respondents are motivated by the enjoyment of exercise and 30 percent of the respondents are motivated by improving or maintaining their body weight. In conclusion, the eating habits and physical activities of students may be assessed as positive, contrary to my expectations. The resulting values of the BMI are also positive; only 2 percent of the respondents are obese and 77 percent have a normal relative body weight. Slight room for improvement may be found in fluid intake ? some students should increase it. It is also desirable to consume more milk and dairy products. It is appropriate to increase the students? awareness of nutrition and a healthy lifestyle because only a small percentage of the respondents obtain the information at school. They often prefer resources, such as magazines, Internet and TV, which are not always objective.
