Memory Functions in Children with Intellectual Disability

The diploma thesis called Memory functions in children with intellectual dissability is devoted to mapping cognitive functions, specifically with a focus on memory functions in children with diagnostically confirmed the mild mental retardation. The origin of the thesis is associated and based on the standardization of incipient Neuropsychological Battery for Children (NB-C) and with the necessity to validate the method in different clinical groups. The aim was to assess how children with cognitive deficits, especially with the mild mental retardation, react and score in the memory's subtests. The main goal of this thesis is to assess the level of memory functions of these children. Furthermore, attention is focused on the comparison of key memory's domains based on the administration of the Neuropsychological Battery for Children and the inteligence test WISC- III in comparison with a comparative group of children without cognitive deficits. The theoretical and literary review section is focused on three key areas. The diploma thesis called "The process of moving towards the optimal supervision system of crisis interventions of the Police of the Czech republic" is connected with the future deriving of the project within the structural fund of European Union. The aims of the project is to support, implement and move to optimal supervision for crisis interventions of the Police of the Czech Republic. The thesis is a first research step for initial ideas about supervision and its systematic implementation to individual regional directorates of the Police of the Czech Republic. The theoretical part is focused on the basic concepts in the field of crisis intervention and supervision. The main chapters are supplemented by topics with an overlap into the system of the Police of the Czech Republic. The empirical part was performed using an online questionnaire survey. The research sample was a set of police crisis interventions from all regions of the Czech Republic, where the crisis assistance is provided by the team of the crisis intervention. The thesis focuses on the Czech human rights foreign policy, especialy in the period of 2011 - 2013 during the Czech membership in the United Nations Human Rights Council. The aim is to analyze Czech human rights foreign policy during the abovementioned period and to evaluate achieving goals of the policy through Human Rights Council.
African Court for Human and Peoples' Rights

The thesis deals with a relatively new institution established by the African Union -- The African Court on Human and Peoples' Rights. The aim of the thesis is to describe the institution's functions and activities. The first chapter describes a long process of creation and approvement of the document establishing the Court, and shows why the set-up of the Court took such a long time. The second chapter focuses on areas which the newly established institution had to solve -- a seat, funding, judge elections, main principles or a relationship with the African Commission on Human and Peoples' Rights. The third chapter concludes with a description of the process of submitting and hearing complaints, the list of cases which the Court settled and the issue of individual submissions. The chapter also mentions the first case of the Court - Michelot Yogogombaye v. The Republic of Senegal.
