Snow regime characteristic of the Zlatý Brook in the Krušné Mountains in years 2009-2011
Hájková, Barbora ; Jeníček, Michal (advisor) ; Kučerová, Dana (referee)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the snow regime characteristic of Zlatý Brook in the Krušné Mountains. Both processes connected with snowmelt runoff and processes anticipating the runoff are described in this work. Data obtained in the catchment during the field measurements in winter periods 2008/2009, 2009/2010 and 2010/2011are described and analyzed. Measured point data are completed with information available from gauged measurements. Special attention is paid mainly to the snow depth, snow water equivalent and their spatial distribution in the catchment. Key words: snow regime, snowpack, snow water equivalent, snowmelt runoff, Zlatý brook, Krušné Mountains
Ionizing Radiation, Residual Heat Generation, and Inventory of Spent Nuclear Fuel
Hájková, Barbora ; Šťastný, Ondřej (referee) ; Katovský, Karel (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with ionizing radiation, residual heat generation, and inventory of spent nuclear fuel. It introduces types of ionizing radiation and half-life of isotopes, which are contained in the nuclear fuel. Furthermore, using code UwB1, a simulation of the burning of nuclear fuel used at the Dukovany Nuclear Power Plant from the introduction of fuel into the reactor to its storage in deep repositories in 2065, is carried out.
Modern trends in the supporting structures of cranes
Hájková, Barbora ; Škopán, Miroslav (referee) ; Zeizinger, Lukáš (advisor)
The thesis presents the critical research on the bearing constructions of cranes with a special focus on the tower cranes. It explains the basic terms related to the crane construction and its parts. The aim of this work is a critical evaluation of the future trends.
Criminological aspects of hate crime
Hájková, Barbora ; Herczeg, Jiří (advisor) ; Hořák, Jaromír (referee)
The aim of this thesis, focusing on the Criminological Aspects of Hate Crime, is to provide a comprehensive analysis of this kind of criminality in the Czech Republic from the criminological point of view. The work is divided into six chapters. The first of which introduces the topic and presents the definition of this kind of criminality and its close connection with extremist criminality. This activity is characterised by hate motivation against a group or an individual because of their real or presumed race, colour, religion, national origin or ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation or disability. The chapter also deals with the development of the hate crime concept, typology of criminal activity based on the committed type of crime or motivation and particular criminal acts occurring in the Czech Republic. The second chapter is focused on extremism and illegal activities of the members of this scene which attack the democratic system and are capable of jeopardizing it. In addition, it examines kinds of extremism, related ideologies and the Czech situation. The criminological part of the thesis, starting in the third chapter, begins with the phenomenology of hate crime, presenting the state of this criminality in the Czech Republic, comparing it to the previous years and elaborating on the types...
Influence of catchment spatial subdivision on the accuracy of the snow accumulation and snowmelt model
Hájková, Barbora ; Jeníček, Michal (advisor) ; Šípek, Václav (referee)
Influence of catchment spatial subdivision on the accuracy of the snow accumulation and snowmelt model Abstract This thesis is focused on influence of catchment spatial subdivision on the accuracy of rainfall-runoff model simulations. A hydrological model HEC-HMS developed by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers was applied in the thesis. Study area includes two experimental catchments; Bystřice River basin and Zlatý Brook basin. Both catchments are located in the Krušné Mountains. The research in catchments has been carried out by the Department of Physical Geography and Geoecology since 2008. The influence of four different horizontal and vertical catchments delineation on runoff simulations was analyzed. The simulations were performed in two two-year periods 11/2008-10/2010 and 11/2010-10/2012. The attention was mainly aimed to snowmelt component of the model, for which temperature index method was chosen. The results of simulations were compared with water stages data measured in catchments outlets and with data from winter field measurements (snow depth and snow water equivalent). The results from both catchments showed that higher accuracy of simulation of the snow water equivalent was reached by dividing the catchments into more elevation zones. However, each of the catchments behaved in different way. The...
Talismans - Luck vs Bad luck
Hájková, Barbora ; Levínská, Markéta (advisor) ; Bittnerová, Dana (referee)
The main goal of this work is to approach a problem of talismans. We will concern with the history of talismans and their examples of today. We will mean resources of using talismans. There will be information about magic thinking, because the magic comes from it. We will show the complicacy of this problem. The core of this work is the empiric research, which is based on ethnographic principles. We will adhere to the grounded theory of Strauss and Corbin. The research is related to children with educational problems. We will focus on evocations, which children have about talismans and their experiences with it. Information will get mainly through the interview with children. Research indications will be confronted with literary knowledge, which are in relationship to talismans.

Valuation of a Selected Group of Company Assets
Hájková, Barbora ; Čevelíková, Eva (referee) ; Hanušová, Helena (advisor)
The Bachelor thesis compares the methods of an inventory valuation. The followed methods are continuously calculated arithmetic mean, FIFO and internal stable price. As the part of the thesis the model example review their advantages and disadvantages. The output of the thesis is selecting the most suitable method for a given company and making the further recommendations.
