Conducting polymers and their use in supercapacitors
Gottwald, Tomáš ; Zatloukal, Miroslav (referee) ; Dvořák, Petr (advisor)
This work deals with the issues of using conducting polymers for supercapacitor electrodes and optimizing the technological process for their production. The work focuses on optimizing the amount of polymer used in order to achieve the most capacity. The methodology consists of creating an appropriate experimental electrode and subsequent measuring its associated capacity with BioLogic. This approach leads to creating charts which show the dependencies of capacity on the amount of polymer used.
Binders for supercapacitors electrodes
Gottwald, Tomáš ; Dvořák, Petr (referee) ; Sedlaříková, Marie (advisor)
This work deals with the issues of useing binders for supercapacitor electrodes and optimizing the technological process for their production. The work focuses on optimizing the amount of binder used in order to acheive the most capacity. The methodology consists of creating an appropriate experimental electrode and subsequent measuring its associated capacity with AutoLab. This aproach leads to creating grafs which show the dependencies of capacity on the amount of binder used.
The Discoursive Contours of news broadcasts "Televizní noviny" and "Televízne noviny"
Gottwald, Tomáš ; Šebeš, Marek (referee)
The Discoursive Contours of news broadcasts "Televizní noviny" and "Televízne noviny". The subject of this empirical thesis are discursive elements and structures of the main news broadcast programs of private televisions TV Nova and TV Markiza "Televizní noviny" and "Televízne noviny". Stable elements and structures used by these programs help to create a news discourse of specific TV station. This thesis represents an overview of these elements and structures and also offers interpretations of their signifikance for the news discourse and observed data in the individual programs, then compares them with each other. The results of comparison indicate that both stations work with a very similar selection of elements and structures and even are similarly used. The most significant differences are found in the structure of the programs and in the function of their anchormen. Research is based on Dahlgren's conceptualization of news broadcasting as a specific type of cultural discourse where (in conceptualization) research optics on the discourse is shifted away from content to form.
Conductivity Of Lithium Perchlorate Salt Dissolved In Different Types Of Solvent
Gottwald, Tomas ; Vondrák, Jiří
Lithium perchlorate (LiClO4) is usable crystalline salt for electrolyte in a rechargeable lithium ion battery (LIB). LiClO4 is an inorganic compound with white color. In the present study the conductivity and the electrochemical behavior of electrolytes based on LiClO4 was examined by using impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and linear voltametry (LSV) measurement at a room temperature. The resistance (conductivity) of electrolytes with different molar concentration of LiClO4 dissolved in different types of the solvent was measured in the first part of this work. In the second part electrochemical behavior of two electrolytes with the highest conductivity was measured and evaluated by using a potential window. At the end the sodium perchlorate NaClO4 (for NIBs) was measured in this study too.

Building of large Data Warehouses on MS SQL Server 2008 platform
Gottwald, Tomáš ; Novotný, Ota (advisor) ; Pour, Jan (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with building of large Data Warehouses on Microsoft SQL Server 2008 platform. First part of the thesis discuss about news in MS SQL Server 2008, which I have considered as being important for Business Intelligence area. Following chapters are focused on approach to implementation of real Data Warehouse for Customs Administration of Czech Republic on MS SQL Server 2008 basis. These parts of the thesis cover specifics of the Customs Administration of Czech Republic, current state of Data Warehouse and reasons for migrating to MS SQL Server 2008. Further the thesis describes both logical and physical architecture of proposed solution and a way of implementation Data Warehouse on MS SQL Server 2008. The main aim of the thesis is to create a list of critical success factors (CSF) of building large Data Warehouses on MS SQL Server 2008 platform. It's not only plain list CSF, but rather the best practices for MS SQL Server Data Warehouses implementation. The most significant contribution of this thesis is that it offers instruction manual for designing and implementing large Data Warehouse on MS SQL Server basis. Background for the creation of summary of CSV and recommendations were vendor's publications and especially my own experience with the product. My colleagues from company Adastra gave me an advisory opinion as well.
