The aim of this master's thesis is to describe the possibilities of interprofessional cooperation of an occupational therapist and a behavioral analyst in selected personal activities of daily living in children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). With the help of activity analysis the view of both experts was demonstrated resulting in the description of their therapeutic intervention. The theoretical part describes the basic characteristics of ASD including selected personal activities of daily living with which children with ASD may have difficulties. The following chapters are about the basic principles of occupational therapy including the description of activity analysis, which is one of the important evaluation methods in occupational therapy. Furthermore the history and the basic characteristics of applied behavioral analysis (ABA) is described focusing on activity analysis used in the ABA program. The next chapter describes the common areas of both professions including shared elements and therapeutic approaches. The last chapter is devoted to the description of the interprofessional cooperation of an occupational therapy and a behavioral analyst. Effect of music therapy for neurorehabilitation and educational rehabilitation of persons after brain injury in the context of quality of life

The thesis focuses on examining the effect of music therapy on the perception of quality of life in patients after acquired brain damage and strokes within the complex neurorehabilitation process. The results of combined research are presented. The quantitative part of the study is based on a group of 100 people who attended a day care centre at the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine of the 1st Faculty of Medicine at Charles University and the General Teaching Hospital in Prague from 2006 to 2012. Input and output measurements according to the FIM methodology were carried out with these persons and the data were statistically analyzed in relation to other evaluated parameters. The qualitative part of the study processes the results of semitemplated interviews with 15 people (who also participated in the quantitative study) while the perception of music therapy is evaluated by a procedure inspired by grounded theory. The results of the combined research show that music therapy plays an important role in the rehabilitation process for persons with acquired brain injury (ABI). Handwriting in patient after stroke

The thesis deals with with handwriting in adult patients after stroke. The main aim is to design and evaluate a therapeutic program for stroke patients focused on hand function and handwriting. The secondary aims are to translate Handwirting Assessment Battery for Adults into the Czech language by the method of back translation and to determine patient satisfaction with the program. The theoretical part of the thesis briefly summarizes the issue of stroke. General knowledge about handwriting is followed by a summary of handwriting difficulties of stroke patients. The theoretical part is concluded by available handwriting examinations and different ways of occupational therapy intervention. The practical part of the thesis was a case study. Five patients participated in the four- week therapeutic program. The designed program includes task-specific training and Constraint Induced Movement Therapy (CIMT) elements. The tools of the Jebsen Taylor Hand Function Test, the Frenchay Arm Test and Score for Visual Evaluation of Functional Task of the Hand were used to assess the effect of the program on hand function. of the Thesis: Bachelor thesis addresses the practice of alternative use control of computer for people after damage in C5 spinal area. The aim is to provide an ergotherapeutic perspective on the use of alternative MyVoice and MyDictate programs in terms of work efficiency and job ergonomics. The theoretical part deals with the issue of spinal lesions and provides information about the client's clinical picture with lesions in the C5 segment and the functional impact of the diagnosis on everyday life. Furthermore, the work focuses on the issue of employment of a person with disability in the Czech Republic. Thesis provides the possibility of occupational therapy intervention for clients after damage of spinal cord in the C5 area with respect to the ergonomics of work place. The aim of this work is to show the potential of occupational therapy in the care of people with autistic spectrum disorders especially in the rehabilitation of Asperger syndrome and to offer therapeutic methods in the selected problematic areas and describe a few examples from the many possibilities of therapeutic intervention. The theoretical part deals with autism spectrum disorders (ASD), mainly with Asperger's Syndrome (AS). It deals with the history, classification, and detailed characteristics of the various symptomatology. Afterwards a special therapeutic part is describing areas where occupational therapy could play an important role. The practical part consists of methodology and a detailed case study where the cooperation of occupational therapy and Asperger is demonstrated. The result of the search is the finding that in the care of clients with Asperger syndrome and the use of a great variety of therapeutic methods can be quite crucial, especially in the integration of clients into our society, so I also emphasize the importance of social aspect during the therapeutic process. Petra Dvořáková Title: Standardized assessment of sensory disorders in school aged children Summary: The thesis deals with problems of sensory processing disorders in school aged children. The aim of this diploma thesis is to create a working version of the standardized questionnaire Sensory Profile 2 School companion. Another aim is to verify the clinical applicability of this standardized questionnaire by using it to do a screening on school aged children to identify those with a sensory processing disorder within the classroom. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on the diagnosis of sensory processing disorders (SPD), their diagnostics and the roles of an occupational therapist in SPD. Title: Use of rhythmic stimulation in physiotherapy in patients with acquired brain damage Abstract: The topic of the bachelor thesis is the use of rhythmic stimulation in physiotherapy in patients with acquired brain damage. The thesis consists of theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part contains 4 sections. The first section is entirely dedicated to the acquired brain damage. The second section describes the motor system and structures involved in its management. The third section summarizes information related to music therapy, neurological music therapy, rhythmical stimulation in neurological music therapy, music, rhythm and their influence on the human brain. In the last section, the Therapeutic Instrumental Music Performance is described in more details, the elements of which are further used in the practical part. The work consists of three parts - theoretical, focused and practical. The theoretical part summarizes problems related to Parkinson's disease and its pathogenesis, clinical presentation, diagnosis and treatment possibilities. The focused part refers to physiotherapy of patients with PD. Emphasis is layed on modern strategies published in European Physiotherapy Guideline for Parkinson's Disease published in 2014.
