Metal detector for industrial use
Stehno, Rostislav ; Friedl, Martin (referee) ; Szabó, Zoltán (advisor)
The goal of this project is explore and study the ways of metal detecting and create a metal detector for industrial use. During a project development, the device size and user easy interface were the basic requirement. As a visual device was chosen LCD touch display, which is very important as a user-friendly interface. For math calculations and right function of device will be implemented microcontroller from Atmel corporation. As a data storage will be used a flash memory with 16MB of size. When the device were inventing, a lot of methods were studied and the impulse detect method were chosen which is the most perspective way of metal detecting. Device will communicate with PC trough a USB port. The device will have a battery which allows device to run for a few hours. The prototype of PCB were developed. Few mistakes has been discovered, while the device were constructed, but they were solved successfully.
Synthesis of Modern Structures of Frequency Filters
Friedl, Martin ; Hájek, Karel (referee) ; Brančík, Lubomír (referee) ; Sedláček, Jiří (advisor)
Within modern frequency structures, the filter frequency region of up to 10 MHz constitutes a promising research topic that currently attracts intensive attention of specialists interested in the problem. The main reason of this fact consists in that the rapid development of modern technology allows the production of innovated structures of the analog frequency filters required in the defined band. In this context, however, it is also necessary to refine the methods applied in the synthesis and optimization of these structures; such improvement should be carried out with respect to fundamental properties and usability of today's active elements (operational amplifiers with voltage feedback whose Gain Bandwidth Product ranges within units of GHz, operational amplifiers with current feedback, conveyors, transimpedance operational amplifiers). In this thesis, active blocks of synthesis inductors (SIs) and frequency dependent negative resistors (FDNRs) are examined in detail, and the author provides novel formulas to define the basic parameters of the dual circuits. Due emphasis was placed on optimizing the basic building blocks of the second order and defining the variation of their properties caused by the addition of modern active elements. The blocks were analyzed and modified in view of their possible use in higher-order circuits. For active filters of a higher order, simulations were performed to indicate the actual sensitivity of the cascade and non-cascade ARC structures. The following phase of the research comprised mainly the designing of several filters, and this activity was further completed with the verification of the methodology for the synthesis and optimization of higher-order loss ladder filters with modern active blocks. Special attention was paid also to the methods enabling the optimization of such filters, which are invariably based on RLC prototypes. In order to verify the theoretical conclusions, the author materialized a large number of sample optimized filters and measured their parameters. The closing section of the thesis describes the use of the filters in specific applications.
Digitally controlled filter
Rez, Jan ; Szabó, Zoltán (referee) ; Friedl, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with design of a functional prototype universal digitally controlled analog frequency filter 2th order. Part of the design is the selection of appropriate filter topology diagram and selection of an integrated circuit. Universal filter will contain lowpass, highpass, bandpass and notch filter. The filter is tuned in cutoff frequency from 100 Hz to 15 kHz. The bachelor's thesis focuses on the circuit analysis of selected concrete structure of universal filter and possibilities of digital control filters. The practical part of this thesis includes PCB design, control software for filter and graphical representation of measured results.
Automatic control system for a hot water and hot fireplaces inserts
Hofman, Miroslav ; Marcoň, Petr (referee) ; Friedl, Martin (advisor)
The work deals with the design automatic control systems for hot water and hot fireplace inserts. Control panel with LCD display and buttons to adjust the temperature in the room is connected to temperature sensors, pumps and fans. Data are processed by a microprocessor Atmel. Microprocessor program is written in C, in the environment AVR Studio 4. Microprocessor with peripherals defines the room temperature.
Lighting system for auditorium
The tunable frequency filter for laboratory
Dokoupil, Jakub ; Roubal, Zdeněk (referee) ; Friedl, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the comparison of the available active universal frequency filter and then design of a 2nd order of the universal frequency filter. Universal filter will contain lowpass filters, highpass, bandpass and notch filter. The filter can be setup in the range of 100 Hz to 150 kHz.
SELV power sources
Friedl, Martin ; Murina, Milan (referee) ; Sedláček, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this diploma paper is to examine the required characteristics of power sources SELV which are used for electric devices of category III. The first part of this diploma paper deals with general knowledge considering power sources. With the focus on switching power sources SELV, their overcurrent, thermal-overload and overvoltage protection and possible solutions of power sources SELV from the aspect of the required isolating safety. The second part of this work deals with the specific design of the power source SELV 230VAC/24VDC with the power output to 70W, with its implementation and with the measuring of its parameters.
Non destructive sensors for measurement of the very slow change of the biological structure dimensions
Kostka, Filip ; Kubásek, Radek (referee) ; Friedl, Martin (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to record a very small increment of the perimeter trees in one day using dendrometr. As the sensor is used tensometer strain gauge, which the deformation of its shape also changes its resistance and it is used subsequently to monitor the recording of growth. Data from dendrometr are handles by digital multimeter, which is synchronized with the PC, where further processing occurs date. This semester project also deals with the thermal expansion of metal parts of dendrometr and ambient conditions during the experiment.
