Verification of the Educational Programme for Swimming Instructors Working with the Disabled The aim of my work is to verify the quality of the didactic method used in the training program, which has participants at the elementary level to prepare for the role swimming instructor for the handicapped. This is a specific area richly entwined interesting, sometimes seemingly disparate fields such as sport and disability, rehabilitation and enjoyable experiences help not in the sense of "charity" but rather as an accompaniment to search their maximum possibilities and boundaries with a final, unexpected profit to both sides. In this research, we want to verify that the selected didactic approach and content can interconnect areas mentioned in a meaningful whole. Whether the training conforms to the participants as an educational program where there is a predetermined learning knowledge and skills. Whether met their expectations and that they are taught content usable in practice. There is also the possibility of longer-term profit not only from the knowledge gained, but a kind of enrichment inside man through principles that are in a training program instructor communicated and that appears. I wondered also how the participants perceive teachers as speech and access to participants and trainer přednášenému...

Boušová, Marie ; Fialová, Ludmila (advisor) ; Bartoňová, Dagmar (referee)
Changes in the marital status in the age group from 15 to 59 years in the Czech Republic after 1930 Abstract The aim of this thesis is to analyze the changes in population structure according to the individual marital statuses. For this analysis sex-specific and age-specific nuptuality rates and multistate life tables were use, in order to be able to describe transitions between the individual marital statuses. In the first part of this thesis the data sources and the methods of creating the transversal increment- decrement life tables were described. Following chapters deal with the historical development of the Czech Republic population since the year 1930 and the trends of nuptuality, divorce and mortality. Second part is dedicated to the analysis of the transitions between the individual marital statuses. The findings of this thesis conclude that people in the individual marital states tend to react similarly to the historical events in Czech Republic, unless some events are purposefully aiming to influence only a part of the population. Key words: nuptuality rate, divorce rate, mortality rate, marital status, multistate demography, transversal increment-decrement life tables, Czech Republic

Vaňková, Václava ; Fialová, Ludmila (advisor) ; Bartoňová, Dagmar (referee)
The aim of this Master thesis is to describe demographic and social structure of Beroun region in the half of the 17th century. The thesis is based on the data from the Register of Religion Affiliation from 1651, which was published by the National Chancery. The work is divided into two parts; in the first part there is a description of the Beroun region in the half of 17th century and the sources and methods used in the work are commented there. The second part contains analytic chapters such as demographic structure of the population, families and household structure and also the social structure of the population. Special attention is paid to the estimates of the population which was not included in the source, especially children from 0 to 13 years. The analyses confirmed that population in the half of the 17th century had progressive demographic structure, which was, however, deformed as a result of the previous war years (especially as a consequence of the plague epidemics). The important part of the thesis is the comparison with other regions of Bohemia in the same period. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Population policy in China
Čadyová, Barbora ; Kocourková, Jiřina (advisor) ; Fialová, Ludmila (referee)
Population policy in China Abstract This thesis concerns the topic of population policy in China, focusing on the one-child policy. It describes the development of these policies and then deals with the research questions themselves. First of all the thesis describes the process of the fertility decrease in China in connection with the population policy since the 50s of the 20th century. This part of the thesis results in the findings that the largest fertility decrease occurred in the 70s of the 20th century as a consequence of the population policy measures. It was even before the implementation of the one-child policy in 1979, even though this also had a significant impact on the fertility. The one-child policy, amongst low fertility, has also brought some negative effects including accelerated demographic aging, increased sex ratio at birth, the phenomenon of "little emperors", more difficult situation for parents who lost their only child, etc. The thesis also compares the population policy of China and other Asian countries with similar trends in fertility. This part of the thesis results in the finding that similar fertility limitation can be handled by a milder way than it was in the case of China. Keywords: China, population policy, fertility, one-child policy

Krpatová, Kateřina ; Fialová, Ludmila (advisor) ; Bartoňová, Dagmar (referee)
Kateřina Krpatová: Homogamie a heterogamie manželských svazků z pohledu demografie Homogamy and heterogamy of marriages from demographic perspectives Abstract This thesis aims at evaluating homogamy and heterogamy while solemnising marriage, depending on the characteristics of the newly-married couple, and their transformation in the last quarter of the 20th century and at the beginning of the 21st century in the Czech republic. Based on the theoretical concepts related to the selection of partner, the causes of the selection of a homogamous partner in the recent years are outlined. The period chosen shows a number of changes both in the characteristics of the marriage rate and within the society in general. However, the transformation of the society to take place from 1979 to 2008, according to the data analysis results, had no complex and unilateral impact on the development of homogamy according to the age, education and nationality. For each of the homogamy types described, a trend in their development was described based on the data, which was subsequently confronted with the theoretical premises specified in the first part of the thesis. This confirmed the importance of investigation of homogamy as an important indicator of the transformation of relationships within the society and of the social...
