The objective of the bachelor thesis is to survey the situation on dance education at Elementary Schools of Arts in Vysočina region during 2010-2011. The survey was executed at three schools in Humpolec, Havlíčkův Brod and Jihlava. Very good level of dancing knowledge is observed among pupils at all schools. They also dispose of very good dancing skills (regarding their age) and they are ready to perform with success. After graduating they may be eligible to study at special secondary dance schools. They take part in competitions either of regional or of national level. All schools organize seminars and workshops for pupils and they invite well-known dancers and teachers. Teachers from Jihlava and Humpolec educate themselves on a regular basis to improve their knowledge and to gain newest educational techniques.
Scenography and space in choreograpy of Sasha Waltz
Palátová, Dana ; Kodet, Jan (advisor) ; Wiesner, Daniel (advisor) ; Matásek, Petr (referee) ; Eliášová, Bohumíra (referee)
Sasha Waltz is not just a significant phenomenon in modern dance in Germany. Her artistic influences have overlapped into traditional ways of staging operas and erode cliché experiences, which are understood as static installations, such as museums. In the thesis I have tried to map the work of Sasha Waltz through space and her set design from the beginning of her career to the present. I had the opportunity to personally see and compare her debut and latest projects. To collect the main sources of my thesis about the work of Sasha Waltz, I spent several months gathering information and conducting personal interviews
Techné and poiésis in theatrical choreographic work
Dukić, Ivana ; Gremlicová, Dorota (advisor) ; Prokeš, Zdeněk (referee) ; Eliášová, Bohumíra (referee)
In my search for answers to following questions: What is needed to master (in the-knowledge-gnosis) on the trip to art of Dance?, Where the need skill, craftsmanship and beauty got lost?, Where the art of theater is heading?, I attend to record written sources which search for answers in the context of theater and the world. My intention is not to make a complex review of all the sourec referring to my theme, my goal is to re-open the problem of terms techné and poiésis and try to understand the "zeitgeist" (spirit of the time).
Dance in basic school
Ratajová, Olga ; Kubicová, Ivanka (advisor) ; Eliášová, Bohumíra (referee)
In my graduation thesis I focused on different ways of integration of dance into elementary school education. One of the ways is integrated elementary school and the basic school of arts where children can get after passing the talent exams and they are obliged to attend dance lessons for next nine years. This kind of schooling is for hand-picked children only. The second possibility is the Dance for schools project of "Tanec Praha" organisation and Dance and Motoric education - new subject in Framework Education Programme (government education framework). Those are the two ways of education of children from the first to the fifth grades where all children are attending Dance lessons. Main aim of my graduation thesis is research into beginnings and raelization of both ways. I interviewed not only dance teachers but also elementary schools headmasters. I was interested in teacher´s work with children and their contemporary results.
Searching for a Path to Body Awareness
Šorejsová, Kateřina ; Eliášová, Bohumíra (advisor) ; Rebcová, Monika (referee)
In my thesis, I describe my path to body awareness, while exploring the issue of interconnection in the course of bodywork, as well as dance techniques and improvisation. I introduce gaga, a new language of movement I encountered during my work stay in Israel. Gaga was a powerful impulse that inspired my further work, aimed at conveying my experience by means of lessons in movement. In chapters 3 and 4, I describe my personal progress and lessons in movement, i.e. the process of learning by teaching others. The current form of my lesson is illustrated by pointing out the particular use of influences that inspired me on my own path to body awareness. The last chapter consists of reflections and reactions of students who attend my lessons, thus giving me a valuable feedback. In conclusion, I attempt to summarize and formulate my own perception of bodywork.
The Improvisation and the Space
Ferienčíková, Soňa ; Eliášová, Bohumíra (advisor) ; Rebcová, Monika (referee)
I would like to point out improvisation as a phenomenon. Phenomenon occurring not just in the lifes of dancers but artists in general. I wanted to bring it closer to all of us- human beings because after all we all use it in our everyday lifes. The work is conceived from a teachers view, with regards to all potential students, offering them practical movement qualities, they should cover. Space is the point of view which was chosen to look at improvisation in a detail.I wanted to bring theoretical notes in harmony togehter with the practical ones. To interweave the work with my own experiences and thus give it a part of myself.
The Movement and the Voice
Wimmerová, Hana ; Eliášová, Bohumíra (advisor) ; Kafková, Martina (referee)
My bachelor work deals with possibilities of movement and voice and their mutual connection both for a dancer and artists of different specialization. Using my theatre experience from musicals where I have achieved special voice technique, which I further deepened during the voice education at theatre and Music and Drama Faculties of AMU. These classes of voice education have become an inspiration for deeper knowledge of my own voice and movement. This work originated thanks to my own experiences which I have gained and with support of literature sources available in this field. Contribution of this work in the field of dance education is usage of voice techniques, which can make easier teacher´s class presentation.
THE PERSONALITY OF DANCE ARTIST
Nadání (v práci synonymní s výrazem talent) je pojímáno šířeji a komplexněji než v obecném významu a přesahuje tedy v případě osobnosti tanečního umělce taneční nadání. Výsledkem práce se potom stává profil osobnosti tanečního umělce, tj. tanečníka, choreografa, tanečního pedagoga a tanečního terapeuta, v kontextu s jeho komplexním nadáním a schopnostmi.
