The effect of disperzed generation on power quality
Kružík, Martin ; Orságová, Jaroslava (referee) ; Drápela, Jiří (advisor)
This MASTER`S THESIS engages in connecting with dispersed generation into electrical network and their influence on power quality. This thesis sets out to make up simple dynamic model of Wind power station and model of simple network. At this model I would like to simulate influence its working on voltage’s characteristics in addition place. Besides this is necessary calculate voltage’s characteristics according present methods – factory energy rules [PNE]. And these results compare with results of simulation
LED based signal lights and luminaires for traffic applications
Mikula, Vladimír ; Baxant, Petr (referee) ; Drápela, Jiří (advisor)
Chief topic of a Master’s Thesis is comparing of conventional sources of light with LED diodes, their characteristics. This work deals with utilizing LED diodes in automotive lighting, in railway applications and universal information about principle of lighting. Else this work describes feasibility study of headlight of railway locomotive. Emphasis is laying for clearness of this work.
Model for the Cable Thermal Characteristic Calculation
Starý, Zdeněk ; Drápela, Jiří (referee) ; Orságová, Jaroslava (advisor)
The result of this assignment is the Model for the Cable Thermal Characteristic Calculation. Firstly, there is a prepared overview that is focused on the essential ideas of cable technology. The following part describes the simple possibilities of passaging the heat. Secondly, the physical essence of warming cables as well as the possibility to discover the methods how to calculate the warming cables are also mentioned in this task. There is an opportunity to find the methods for calculating the warming cables as well. The model was verificationed in the conclusion of my assignment. The measurement was done and the empirical results were compared with the results that were achieved by modeling.
Distributed power quality monitoring systems
Pithart, Jan ; Macháček, Jan (referee) ; Drápela, Jiří (advisor)
Subject of this master’s thesis deals with the issues parameters of electric power and some possibility of measuring with focusing on norm requiring parameters. There are some distributed power quality monitoring systems described, which are available. The following chapter discusses the suggestion and implementation of the low-cost monitor with remote control for low-voltage networks. The thesis also concerns the using MySQL database for archiving measuring values and implementation of web applications for on-line presentation of the measured values.
Parameterization of electric appliances immunity curves to voltage dips and short interruptions
Šlezingr, Jan ; Bok, Jaromír (referee) ; Drápela, Jiří (advisor)
This master’s thesis work deal with diagnosis parameters immunity curves uniphase appliance on short - term voltage dips a interuption. Immunity curve is dependence smallest possible sizes RMS voltage for performance given to criteria function on time continuation voltage event. Curves of resistance is different for each electric appliance, and depending on the size and over-voltage network, the burden on resources and voltage during the event.. The goal of this work is to devise a methodology for measuring the implementation of parametric measurement limit curves of resistance for selected types of appliances.
Spectram power distribution of radiant flux depending on supply voltage
Novotný, Tomáš ; Baxant, Petr (referee) ; Drápela, Jiří (advisor)
The master’s thesis consists of two parts. The first part describes base quantities of lighting engineering, basics of the electrical energy transformation to the light energy, laws of the thermal radiation and characteristics of incandescence and discharge light sources used for general illumination. This part concludes with a theoretical analysis of influence of power supply on the parameters of light source’s luminous flux. The second part of the thesis deals with the draft and configuration of a workplace for measuring spectral radiation of light sources depending on power supply. The last part of the thesis is created by the evaluation of spectral radiation and other light parameters changes according to the light source’s power supply changes.
Passive PFC filters for SMPS
Matejov, Michal ; Červinka, Dalibor (referee) ; Drápela, Jiří (advisor)
This work deals with theory of switched power sources. There is description of the ways for connection and their practice purposes. In the next parts there are defined requirements on input supply circuit for these sources, especially for the form of output current. There are mentioned the basic connecting methods of PFC circuits and these methods modify the output current to meet the requirements of specification ČSN EN 61000- 3- 2. In the next parts there are shown simulations of PFC circuits made by Pspice application. Further is the basic description of sources construction for the sources which were used for testing and measuring. The final part deals with evaluation of the measuring on the chosen computer’s source. It compares between the manufacturer’s solutions and PFC circuit made by ourselves.
Tokamak COMPASS D power supply system with flywheel pulse generator
Antl, Marek ; Prošek, Jan (referee) ; Drápela, Jiří (advisor)
One of the possible ways, how to ensure the necessary electric energy to the future is by the thermonuclear synthesis. Systems that deal with this problem are called stellarator or tokamak. In my work I describe the working principle of the tokamak and its possible future evolution. More precisely I deal with particular tokamak that was brought from Culham to the Prague and its power supply, which became a problem. It is tokamak model COMPASS D. My work consists in power supplying of tokamak reels and power elements in its supply way. However it is just a test gear, which has a long way to the successful end, wich is power supplying instead of power burning. It is just a test gear on which are various tests and analyses carryed out nowadays. Results of these tests will be used for another research and to improve the results of this or other facilities.
Neutral conductor loading in distribution systems. Origin and effect.
Valkoun, Petr ; Krejčí,, Petr (referee) ; Drápela, Jiří (advisor)
This work deals with an origin of the harmonic currents, their classification into symmetrical components and their influence on neutral conductor in distribution systems. It analyses the heat strain increase in distribution cables and distortion of supply tension in consequence of harmonic zero component flows in distribution system and it provides possibilities of neutral conductor overload and break-in protection.
Evaluation of voltage events regarding to immunity of electric appliances
Švindrych, Jan ; Bok, Jaromír (referee) ; Drápela, Jiří (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with evaluation of voltage events regarding to immunity of electric appliances. This thesis is divided into three logical sections. In the first part are shown the voltage events, their definitions, causes and spreading in the mains. The second part deals with measurements and existing possibilities of evaluation of voltage events. The third part deals with suggestion of new evaluation of voltage events regarding to immunity of electric appliances and verification in practice.
