Simulation Based Matchmaking Optimisation
Eštvan, Ivan ; Chlubna, Tomáš (referee) ; Milet, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis focuses on designing a working matchmaking system and simulation environment for a First Person Shooter like game and their implementation within Unreal Engine 4. It introduces various types of matchmaking systems used in today's games and explains some basic concepts used in Unreal Engine 4 to implement such environments. Implemented system then takes the input data, with information about players, creates matches by using our own matchmaking and performs a simulation of them, providing the simulation results of created matches for further analysis.
Rigid Body Simulation
Leitner, Denis ; Milet, Tomáš (referee) ; Chlubna, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with rigid body physics simulation in real time. It describes basic methods for collision detection between convex polyhedra, solving collisions and simulation of rigid body dynamics used in game development. Work also describes design and implementation of rigid body simulator written in C++ using OpenGL for rendering.
Mobile Application "Paramedic doggy" - Unexpected Event
Krejčí, Jan ; Milet, Tomáš (referee) ; Chlubna, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to design and implement a simple educational mobile application for children which, in the form of a game, shows how to proceed in a model emergency situation (train accident). Firstly, the thesis describes general principles of providing first aid in an emergency situation as well as its training. Secondly, the thesis clarifies characteristic features of educational digital games, analyses already existing solutions and describes Unity game engine. Based on information acquired so far, the educational game is designed and implemented in Unity. The method and the results of the testing are presented in the conclusion. The final version of the game is ready for publishing.
Plugin for Drawing Recording and Reconstruction in Graphics Editor
Hiner, Martin ; Milet, Tomáš (referee) ; Chlubna, Tomáš (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to explore the possibilities of observing brush strokes inside a graphics editor, recording them, and finally, allowing the user to edit each individual stroke or play them out in a sequence. These features are then implemented in a form of a plugin module for a selected suitable graphics editor.
Global Illumination in Real-Time
Karas, Matej ; Chlubna, Tomáš (referee) ; Milet, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with photorealistic rendering and real-time global illumination. Thesis contains overview of algorithms used for real-time global illumination of which the Dynamic Diffuse Global Illumination with Ray-Traced Irradiance Fields was implemented. This algorithm uses hardware accelerated ray tracing to compute global illumination in a scene. Hardware ray tracing requires use of new generation of graphics API from which Vulkan was choosen for this thesis.
Skeletal Animations Library
Maliňák, Jan ; Chlubna, Tomáš (referee) ; Vlnas, Michal (advisor)
Main objective of this thesis is designing a physical based solution to generating skeletal animations. This allows both micro adjustments of animation in realtime and dynamic generation of character's movement without previous preparation of animation for given specific purpose. Created module for Unity game engine uses angular velocity to rotate bones of skeleton, rather than evaluating animation curve for specific time. The calculation is done by generating muscle forces, calculating torque and applying resulting angular acceleration of each bone. After specifying a target in one of its forms, the animating system will start moving with linked skeleton and will try to approach given target.
Blender add-on for Astronomical Object Generation
Hlávka, Marek ; Milet, Tomáš (referee) ; Chlubna, Tomáš (advisor)
Procedural modeling methods greatly facilitate the process of modeling 3D objects that mimic real-world elements, which needs to be performed more and more efficiently. This thesis deals with procedural modeling of astronomical objects and their modification. It also deals with design, implementation and publication of an add-on for the open-source program Blender, that enables modeling of these objects. The add-on is implemented in Python using the Blender API. As a result, Blender is extended with an interface for fast and convenient generation of astronomical objects. The published add-on is available open-source.
Raspberry Pi - Model Tasks
Klobušický, Martin ; Chlubna, Tomáš (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
The main goal of this bachelor thesis was to sumarize current solutions and projects that use Raspberry Pi and implementation of tasks that could be solved on Raspberry Pi. Task should be designed for educational and demonstration purposes. The first task is a framework for audio data processing. The second task is an information system that acquires and displays data from a sensor for measuring temperature and humidity
Web-Based Renderer of Light Field Data
Hlávka, Matěj ; Milet, Tomáš (referee) ; Chlubna, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with generating of light fields from 3D scenes. The goal is to design and implement a web application, that will be capable of generating a light field in a form of discrete set of images based on the user supplied 3D scene. The work includes parsing files supplied by the user, rendering the scene, camera and light manipulation and light field generation according to entered parameters.
Eye Tracking Based Gaming Combat System
Kučera, Ján ; Kapinus, Michal (referee) ; Chlubna, Tomáš (advisor)
Aim of this thesis is to create a 3D fighting game in which, a player is able to aim via their eye gaze. Eyes are tracked using special glasses Pupil Core, that track players eye gaze using infrared camera. The game itself is implemented in a game engine Unity and communication between game and glasses is implemented via local server. The result is a 3D fighting game with an aiming mechanic using eye gaze.
