The building is inspired by the internet phenomenon called crowdfunding. Anyone who can take own vision to the public spoteye, has the opportunity to realize their projects, Here in Laborartory. Whatever it is. An art or new piece of technology, ideas become reality and Laborartory it moves on to the real world. But the main purpose is to spread creativity and ideas through public mind, because therein lies the potential of Brno. As the city of fairgrounds and technological development.

Návrh malometrážního objektu pro celoroční užívání

The concept is created with limitations imposed by related laws and standards in mind.The problem of an usage and a placement is discussed from both local (Czech Republic) and a global perspective in the first part of the thesis.The second part contains the study itself, which is concerned with specification of a minimal space and a layout based on the standards and examples of existing buildings.The study is then elaborated on into an accompanying documentation for few selected variants.Moreover the thesis includes a thermal study of the design of a frame structure and an estimation of an construction cost based on economic indicators.The last part of the thesis provides a comparison of proposed design variants while pointing out it's strengths and weaknesses.
