Jáchym, Filip ; Buchtel, Jaroslav (referee) ; Vorálek, Rostislav (advisor)
TITLE OF THE GRADUATION THESES: Characteristics and comparison of teams, selected players in selected indicators of Women's Junior European Championships 2008. 2. ABSTRACT AND KEY WORDS: Objectives: Characteristics of selected activities of volleyball girls in the junior category at the representational level, which is processed from ME 2008. Characteristics of selected activities are subjected to all teams that participated in this championship; they are analyzed on the basis of the composition of the teams by somatotype and efficiency of the gaming actions of individuals. Furthermore, there was a comparison of selected players in terms of efficiency in the selected game activities, depending on the individual somatic and motor predispositions. Finally, we made comparisons of particular specializations. Methods: Data needed to evaluate the objectives of the thesis was obtained from the software DataVolley which is able to record a person that is performing the activity by specifying jersey number and gaming actions of the individual during serve, reception after serve, set, spike, block or dig. In particular, the thesis will obtain information about efficiency of gaming actions carried out by individuals from the program. Statistics were processed in official bulletins, from which we drew on data about the...
Physiological load analysis of women's lacrosse game
Klimoszková, Barbara ; Buchtel, Jaroslav (referee) ; Süss, Vladimír (advisor)
Title of work: Physiological load analysis of women's lacrosse game Objective: The aim of this thesis is the analysis of women's lacrosse game in view of physiological load. The determination of bio- energy covering during lacrosse game and propose the usage of the records into pratice. Method: First method was heart rate measurement during lacrosse game together with ran distance on the basis of run intesity difference. Sport tester Garmin Forunner 305 was used for both measurements. Second used method was the observation on the basis of generated assesment scales. The assesments were engaged in monitoring of player's movements with nine grades scale technics and was based on direct observation of player's movements facilitated by game videotape. Results: Physiological load of lacrosse midfield players needs speed-endurance energy covering system, which is supplied mostly by ATP/CP system and by lactate non-oxygen system. Physiological load of lacrosse attack and defence players needs only speed energy covering system, which is supplied by ATP/ CP system. Practice requires speed and speed-endurance skills workouts. Key words: Women's lacrosse, lacrosse game, physiology of physical load, kinetic activity, ATP, lactate, oxygen and nonoxygen energy covering system, sports game.

Title: Comparison of selected practice indicators of women's volleyball team playing the highest competition in Czech Republic and France. Objectives of work: Monitoring and comparison of selected indicators in the preparation of training volleyball clubs in the highest women's competitions in the Czech Republic and France. Method: The basis of this work, the data collected in two consecutive seasons (2008/09 and 2009/10). Data were obtained by observation, interview and controlled analysis of records of the training process. Tables have been prepared in the Microsoft Office Excel. To evaluate the results of the comparative method was used. Results: The results allow the use of coaching in practice and can serve as a stimulus to reorganize the categories and the system of care for youth in the CVS. Komarc, Martin ; Buchtel, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Vorálek, Rostislav (referee)
Title: Relationship between quality of serving and the defensive phase at net in men Volleyball at the Olympic Games 2008 in Beijing. Objective: The purpose of this thesis was to find out relationship between quality of serving and the defensive phase at net in elite volleyball teams. The thesis should also give a more detailed view on progress of this relationship in time, and to show what is the character of the relationship in best teams. Methods: The main method used in this work was, standardized indirect observation. We observed matches on Olympic volleyball tournament 2008, in Beijing, where we assessed the selected playing activities on 5-degree scale. After that, we applied one-dimensional methods of statistical analysis to find out statistical significance (chi-square test) and methods of objectively-logical analysis. Results: The results refer to significant relationship between quality of serving and the defensive phase at net. This relationship appears to be stable in time, independent on changes made in volleyball (rally point system, libero specialization). By comparing of this relationship in best teams we did not find statistically significant differences, but we consider as a big advantage for team to be able to group a two-person block after poor quality service. Key words:...

Horníková, Šárka ; Buchtel, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Vorálek, Rostislav (referee)
7 RESUME Dissertation Title: Strain and stress in volleyball matches of junior girls Place: Charles University Fakulty of Physical Education and Sport Department of Sport Games Autor: Šárka Horníková Branch of Study: Physical Education and Sports Disertation Tutor: doc. PhDr. Jaroslav Buchtel, CSc. Year of Presentation: 2009 Abstract: The main aim of this dissertation is to find out the intensity of strain and stress in a chosen match of a junior category. The first task is to compile literature concerning volleyball, sports training and stress intensity. On the basis of the gained knowledge we are going to choose the methods of testing and examination of external and internal strain and stress. This will be applied to a chosen sample of players. The data will be processed and evaluated. For transparency of the results interpretation we will enclose charts and graphs. Finally, we will compare the results achieved by individual players, teams and player specialisations. We will be able to compare the data of the internal and external stress as there will be players who underwent both of these methods of testing. We hope the contribution of this dissertation will consist in wider awarness of the intensity of strain and stress in volleyball. This dissertation is meant to be helpful to volleyball coaches and...
Comparison of height and jumper parameters for young girl volleyball players in 2002-2009
Melichar, Jan ; Buchtel, Jaroslav (referee) ; Vorálek, Rostislav (advisor)
Thesis title: Comparison of height and jumper parameters for young girl volleyball players in 2002 - 2009 Thesis aim: Based on the results obtained in the test tournaments in 2002 - 2009 (Kafka's memorial) create order 15-best placed volleyball players, under-reach at strike jump with rozbehem(heat?). The results compare for each yer, according to the selected somatic assumptions (body height, the range from the floor stretched arms) and selected performance assumptions (net reach - absolute jump, reach at strikejump with heat). Method: For my thesis examination I have looked up and processed results of standardized volleyball tests. Each year these tests are applied to the players at the regional youth centre championships. Nowadays these tests are rather applied to selections of the best regional players. Concerning girl players it refers to ,,the Memorial of Milan Kafka". The testing is provided by the organizer in coordination with commissioned co-workers of youth committee and youth coordinator. For processing and evaluating of the acquired data I have used the following mathematical-statistic methods: arithmetic mean, variation range and decisive anomaly. Results: I have transformed the final tests results into transparent graphs through which you can see apparent differences between...
Evaluation of voleyball service due to surface EMG
Král, Michal ; Buchtel, Jaroslav (referee) ; Kračmar, Bronislav (advisor)
Title of dissertation: Evaluation of volleyball service due to surface EMG. Objectives of dissertation: To measure and describe the structure involving specific muscles of the player. The muscles are going to be measured during the volleyball service - service with jump, service without jumping and specific exercises. Method: Surface EMG analysis and simple kinematic analysis. Results: The order of muscle activation is the use of the land and use of jump spikeserve different. In repeated experiments of each type of use, however, does not change the order of muscle involvement. Specific exercise is by its nature more spikeserve use of the jump. Key words: Volleyball, service, pulley, EMG analysis, kinematic analysis. 6
