Validation of an adventure programme with cooperative elements in school P.E. lessons Summary of the thesis The thesis deals with validating an innovative motor program with adventure and cooperative elements at a Czech elementary school. The aims of the thesis was to observe possible changes under the influence of the programme in social acceptance of children in class, in their self-concept and the amount of physical activities in their leisure time. The study was a quasi-experiment, concretely a cross classification with repeated testing. It was realized in classes of 6th , 7th and 8th grade (12-14 year old boys) (N=154) in physical education lessons. The research was realized during 6 month, intervention time was 3 months and data were gained in three time intervals. We have used the Social acceptance questionnaire and Self-concept and quality of life questionnaire as main research methods. Results brought two statistically significant values, however, in practical significance they explain a small number of results. Values in the sub-scale Pupil-classmates relationship were statistically significant (p=0,031), which explained 3% of results, and values in the item Evaluation of satisfaction with factors effecting self-concept had the statistical significance p=0,002 explaining 6,5% of results. In the...
The use of "omics" methods in molecular-epidemiologic study in newborns from different localities of the Czech Republic
Hoňková, Kateřina ; Rössner, Pavel (advisor) ; Gábelová, Alena (referee) ; Bláha, Luděk (referee)
The "omics" is a concept of biological disciplines that globally characterizes and quantifies biomolecules involved in the key functions of an organism. The "omics" methods are used e.g. in molecular epidemiology, where they help to evaluate potential biomarkers that identify the impact of environmental factors for human health. In this thesis, the "omics" methods were applied in samples collected from newborns born in localities of the Czech Republic mostly differing by pollution levels from industrial sources. The principal aim was to determine whether environmental changes during prenatal development can affect gene expression and its regulation in newborns. The thesis further aimed to evaluate the level of air pollution at the time of biological samples collection. Using the whole genome approach, differentially expressed genes (DEGs) in newborns from districts Karvina and Ceske Budejovice (CB) were identified. In a pilot study of a small group of newborns from districts Most and CB, differentially methylated CpG sites in DNA were assessed. These sites attenuate gene activity and could be responsible for long-term changes at the genetic level. Finally, the aim was to find differentially expressed small non-coding RNA (DE miRNA) in newborns from Most and CB. Samples of umbilical cord blood from...

Title: The relevance of Bosco test for determination of healthy oriented efficiency adolescents Objective: The main objective is to find and describe the relationship of Bosco test (60 s) to a specific level of health-related fitness among adolescents based on the comparison of the output parameter of Bosco test and test items EUROFIT at physically active and inactive boys and girls. The partial objectives are to describe the influence of anthropometric parameters, gender and competence to physically active people on the current level of power parameters of the lower limbs. Methods: The dissertation has the character of empirical research, it is a descriptive study in which the research has a nature of the association, ie., that the required data are obtained by observation. The study was carried out on a group of purposefully selected probands n=100 age 18.40 ± 0.83 years, a period of adolescence. In the study group was equal representation of boys n=50 (age 18.50 ± 0.84 years) and girls n=50 (age 18.38 ± 0.82 years). Anaerobic capacity and power parameters of the lower extremities were determined by a standardized jumping Bosco test (60 s). The results of laboratory and anthropometric survey results were referenced by a test battery EUROFIT, which provides information on health-related fitness....

Measurement and toxicity of combustion generated nanoparticles
Sikorová, Jitka ; Topinka, Jan (advisor) ; Klusoň, Petr (referee) ; Bláha, Luděk (referee)
This thesis is focused on nanoparticles produced by internal combustion engines utilized in vehicles. It deals with spatial distribution of nanoparticles within urban areas, impact of alternative fuels usage on particle production and toxicity, and a particle toxicological testing methodology. Monitoring of airborne nanoparticles identified traffic as the main source of airborne nanoparticles in places with heavy traffic load (Prague), as well as in a small city with only local traffic (Čelákovice). Most particles were likely emitted during short episodes of high emissions (e.g. uphill acceleration). During the measurements, high-emission vehicles responsible for a large fraction of the air pollution were also identified. On the other hand, small non-road internal combustion engines, which are not subject to any limit on particle emissions, such as a lawn mower, were operated during the measurement and generated a large number of nanoparticles. The amount and characteristics of the particles produced by combustion depend on the combustion technology and the fuel composition. A large part of the thesis deals with alternative fuels and their effects on the quantity of produced particles and toxicity of organic matter adsorbed on the particles. Hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) exhibited the lowest...

Title: Diagnostics of didactic competencies of students of UK FTVS. Objectives: The goal of the dissertation was to verify whether the chosen combination of quantitative and qualitative methods is suitable for the diagnostics of the didactic competencies of the students of the UK FTVS in swimming didactics. Methods: The research was supported by a combination of quantitative and qualitative research methods. Participating observation was used in direct participation in the didactic outputs of students. Data collection was done by acquiring audio and video recordings of students' didactic outputs within the subject of Theory and Basics of Swimming Didactics at the UK FTVS, by a questionnaire and group interviews with students who were in the role of "pupils" during didactic outputs. Through an uninvolved observation, the analysis of video recordings of students' didactic outputs was made. Coding of individual didactic outputs of students was done through modified analysis of didactic interaction (MADI). Descriptive statistics was used to encode and process data from questionnaires. Then the transcript of group conversations from electronic form to written was done by transcription. From the partial results of the MADI method, questionnaires and group interviews, case studies of five selected...
Juggling as a dramatic language
Blaha, Lukas ; JARCHOVSKÝ, Adam (advisor) ; CAPKO, Štefan (referee)
This thesis deals with juggling and ultimately its scenic potential for dramatic creation and communication. Firstly, I will help define the term “juggling” by delving into its history in the traditional circus, its development in contemporary circus, and its current position in dramatic art. For a more precise and specific exposition of modern juggling and its styles I will analyse and compare the work of three Czech and foreign contemporary juggling groups.
Study of the effect of the addition of the cellulose fibers on the selected properties of concrete
Blaha, Lukáš ; Hela, Rudolf (referee) ; Bodnárová, Lenka (advisor)
This dissertation desribes the behavior of cellulose fiber reinforced concrete. In the theoretical section one can find basic information on cellulose fiber and its methods of production and usage in concrete structures. One can find the information about the effect of high temperature on the mechanical and physical attributes of cellulose fiber reinforced concrete, and also a comparison with other fibers used in concrete based on the research done using scientific literature. Furthermore the details about particular cellulose fibers are provided. In the experimental section the formulas for CHRYSO and GREENCEL concrete are designed. The influence of the addition of various types of cellulose fibers into both liquid and solid states of concrete was researched. Tests were also done on the effect of high temperatures (600 °C and 800 °C) on the firmness and densitiy of concrete, its deformations and visual changes. Furthermore, the resistance of cellulose fibers was monitored by monitoring the development of the pH environment (from pH 4 to pH 12) with long-term deposition of different types of cellulose fibers in these environments.
