Valuation of the company Verizon Communications

The main objective of this thesis is to valuate the company Verizon Communications, Inc. Master thesis is divided into two main parts -- theoretical and practical. Theoretical part includes description of methods used in the practical part, especially introduces steps and methods of valuation. Practical part contains strategical analysis, financial analysis for years 2008 -- 2012 and financial plan for years 2013 -- 2017. Based on the preceding steps the lone valuation is carried out. Valuation is carried out by two different methods. The first one is the discounted cash flow method in FCFF version and the second is valuation by EBITDA sector multiple.

Finacial analysis SK Slavia Praha - football a.s.

The aim of this bachelor thesis is a financial analysis of the football club SK Slavia Praha -- fotbal a.s. In this thesis, there are used commonly applied methods of financial analysis for assessing performance and results are compared with other clubs. According to the generally poor economic situation of the football environment, I consider the contribution of at least partial illustration of reasons of permanent indebtedness of Czech clubs.

Productivity and its metering

This thesis is about productivity and its metering. It is devided into two parts. The first part is focused on theoretical apparatus. The second part contains the calculations of total producitivity and partial productivities (for all factors of production) and their year-by-year progressn (index of total productivity, index of partial productivities). Last part of the thesis describes the link between the analysis of productivity and the economic value added (EVA). The analysis was made for 7 years (2002 - 2008). The calculations were made for Sokolovská uhelná, právní nástupce, a.s.

Turecká ekonomika na cestě do EU

Práce hodnotí současný stav a potenciál turecké ekonomiky (HDP, vývoj ekonomiky, provádění reforem), zahraničně-obchodní vztahy Turecka (export, import, přímé zahraniční investice), včetně obchodních vztahů s EU (celní unie), v úvodu rovněž shrnuje historický vývoj Turecka. Zabývá se stručným nastíněním přístupového procesu Turecka k EU (analytická prověrka, přístupové rozhovory), hodnotí jeho pozitiva i negativa; informuje o postojích členských zemí EU k Turecku i o postoji Turecka samotného směrem k potencionálnímu vstupu do Unie (průzkumy veřejného mínění).

EU Structural Funds focused on Central Bohemia

This work is focused on an analysis of current programming period 2007 -- 2013. The objective is to provide an operational programme overview, both their specifics and survey. Special attention is paid to Regional Operational Programme NUTS 2 Central Bohemia. In the practical part there are summarised (following the research) the results of the absorption capacity of the region and the function of euromanagers. In conclusion there is an analysis of a succesful project in Central Bohemia, carried out through Common Regional Operational Programme from the last programming period.
