Treatment Programs aimed at Women Serving a Unconditional Sentence of Imprisonment in Czech Republic and Abroad Abstract The diploma thesis deals with the topic of treatment programs for women in prison. The aim of the work was to approach the issue of current treatment programs in the Opava Prison. In the theoretical part of the diploma thesis is described the female prison population and its specifics as well as selected foreign regulations and basic principles contained in international documents focused on this area, the definition and division of treatment programs, a description of the current women's prisons in the territory of the Czech Republic and the characteristics of the current standardized treatment programs in women's prisons. The diploma thesis also focuses on some selected shortcomings of treatment programs, in the last part of the theoretical work are mentioned some modern prison systems applied to women in general and to mothers in prisons. In the practical part of the work, the strategy of qualitative research, the technique of questioning and the semi-structured interview technique were chosen to determine the objectives of the work. Protective Function of Social Policy in the Context of Family Policy of the Czech Republic

The Bachelor's thesis "The Protective Functions of Social Policy in the Context of Family Policy of the Czech Republic" is a theoretical comparative paper whose aim is to find out what tools uses our state to apply family policy to protect families from unwanted phenomena that can affect anyone. In this bachelor thesis was used secondary and content analysis of data regarding the family policy system in the Czech Republic, that made it possible to research the basic phenomena and trends in the topic. This thesis will characterize the family and its role in the state in individual chapters, and it will focus on the ways of family protection through the protective function of social policy. This function must deal with phenomena that may threaten individual citizens in society in some way. Methods of protection through direct and indirect financial assistance will be analysed in individual chapters. Furthermore, the work will deal with transformations of the form of families, trends (e.g. low birth rate, divorce rate), with the role of the state in the development of family policy, women and their maternal role, housing support for families and other aspects. The Bachelor's thesis is based on professional literature, legislative norms, statistical information of the Czech Statistical Office and data from the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and other sources. This Bachelor's thesis can serve as a material for further development of the Czech family policy and can serve as an orientation of family policy creation in the Czech Republic.
