Design of cast-in-place structure at family house
Bartoň, Jakub ; Bažant, Zdeněk (referee) ; Strnad, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with a desing of cast-in-place family house structures. The basis of the thesis is assesment of selected structures (ceiling, walls, foundation slab) by structural desing and subsequent proposal of necessary reinforcement of assessed structures. The outcome of the whole thesis are the drawings.
Form finding of shell structures
Musil, Jiří ; Bažant, Zdeněk (referee) ; Vítek,, Jan (referee) ; Stráský, Jiří (advisor)
The theme of this doctoral thesis is the design of concrete shell structures with the focus on finding their optimal shape. The optimal shape of a concrete shell is the shape in which for a given load (usually the dead weight of the structure) no significant bending moments are generated in the shell and the structure is in the so-called membrane state. The inspiration for this thesis is the work of Swiss engineer Heinz Isler, who developed the shapes of shell structures using model tests of appropriately loaded flexible membranes. He developed the shell structure for large spans by inverting the resultant shape, which carried its weight almost entirely via membrane forces. The numerical solution of the above experiments using Midas Civil is presented herein. The basic principles of the method are demonstrated on the example of sagged cable. The numerically found shapes are compared with the analytical solution. A shell is designed based on the numerically found shapes and its stress response to dead load is described, particularly in relation to the membrane action. In the next part, the acquired knowledge and methods were used to design three relatively complicated shell structures. Each structure was statically analysed and its static behaviour was described. Structures with perfectly rigid or flexible supports, which simulate real behaviour of the supports, were studied. In the final phase, the results of static analysis of the selected shell were experimentally verified on a physical model in a scale of 1: 55.56. The model has been built using 3D printing. The thesis describes the use of a modelling similarity, the model design, the production process, and the experiment. The load test confirmed the optimal design of the shell structure and the validity of the numerical method for finding their shapes.
Roof prefabricated elements
Sicha, Jakub ; Bažant, Zdeněk (referee) ; Zich, Miloš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on prefabricated reicforced cocrete elements. Specifically coruggated slabs or Čiževsky slabs. Thesis is based of load test of these slabs. The calculation shows the stress of the slab in the roof structure and load capacity. These results are compared with the load test. There is some examples of constructions where the slabs was situated or is situated including faults and fault handling.
Static analysis of Church in Brno
Rejnart, Michal ; Bažant, Zdeněk (referee) ; Zich, Miloš (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with design of roof structure of the church in Brno Lesná. It is arched shell, which is symmetrical only by one axis. The roof is clamped by bond beam at supports of roof structure, which sits on a reinforced concrete walls, which transfers load to foundations. This structure is checked for the Ultimate Limit State and Service Limit State. Text part of design contains report, where is described structural system and technological proces. The structural design report contains assessment proces of designed structure.
Cast-in-place tank of sewage plant
Strnad, Stanislav ; Bažant, Zdeněk (referee) ; Strnad, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with design and static assessment of concrete cast-in-place tank of sewage plant. Specifically the calculation and assessment of the base plate, external and internal walls, and floor slab. In addition elaboration of formwork and reinforcement drawing of solved structural elements. The concrete part of cast-in-place tank of sewage plant is below ground level. Static analasis and calculation of internal forces was solved in Scia Engineer 16.0.2038 – student version.
Static analysis of precast hall
Juda, Jan ; Bažant, Zdeněk (referee) ; Zich, Miloš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on static solution of precast reinforced concrete. Specifically, the cross-sectional connection of the hall, which consists of square columns and a pre-prestressed I-profile truss, is solved here. The load on the structure is transferred to the subsoil by reinforced concrete pavements, which have not been solved in the bachelor thesis. The content of bachelor thesis is based on the dimensioning of individual elements of the transverse bond according to ČSN EN 1992-1-1. These elements are dimensioned to the ultimate load condition. Drawings of the structure, shapes and reinforcement of individual parts are processed in the drawing part.
Concrete basement structure of family house on the slope
Čípek, Luboš ; Bažant, Zdeněk (referee) ; Strnad, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis focuses on design and assessment of load-bearing elements of a cast-In-place basement of a family house in Vranov. The thesis also includes a report about static analysis and the implementing engineerig report, vizualization of implementing, structural design report and the drawings of formworks and reinforcement. The calculation of the internal forces on floor slab over the basement was performed by the Dlubal RFEM software.
Cast-in-place basement of cottage in Kronfelzov
Renczes, Gábor ; Bažant, Zdeněk (referee) ; Strnad, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design and assessment of all supporting parts of a cast-in-place basement of a cottage in the town Kronfelzov. The thesis includes a technical report, static analysis, drawing documentations and visualizations. The calculation of the internal forces was performed by the software Scia Engineer. The drawing documentation consist of a shape and reinforcement drawings of the supporting parts.
Reconstruction of barn as a part of Miroslavské Knínice castle
Martínek, David ; Bažant, Zdeněk (referee) ; Strnad, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the reconstruction of a barn in Miroslavské Knínice. First, it was necessary to examine the conditions of the barn. Crumbling masonry and cracks in perimeter walls had been found, so it was necessary to create a design and assess new solutions to repair the barn. On the basis of these defects, it was proposed to pull down a half of the barn, including the foundations and proposed to lay concrete over this part of formwork together with reinforcement.
Reconstruction of family house near the Tomek Square, Brno
Kešiar, Szabolcs ; Bažant, Zdeněk (referee) ; Strnad, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor´s thesis deals with the reconstruction of a family house. The main goal is the design and assessment of the main load-bearing elements. The thesis contains load effects calculations about the new construction, followed by the design and assessment of the new constructions. The final part of the thesis contains the assessment and strengthening of the already existing parts of the building. Furthermore, it contains the design about the concrete bond-rim and foundations under the structure of the basement.
