Tetraonid birds in the Jeseníky Mts: chances for survival
Koubek, Petr ; Banaš, M.
The massif of the Hrubý Jeseník Mts. was known for occurrence and even hunting of capercaillie (Tetrao urogallus) as well as black grouse (Tetrao tetrix) in the 50s and 60s of the 20th century. However, even in this area, we have noticed a marked decre of abundance of both species. This is why we have been gathering all information about the occurrence of tetraonid birds at the Landscape Protected Area Jeseníky Mts. since 1987.

Current knowledge on distribution, population dynamics and feeding ecology of some mustelids in the Czech Republic
Koubek, Petr ; Červený, Jaroslav ; Bufka, L.
Although mustelids comprise the most abundant group of predators in the Czech Republic, they are one of the least studied groups of our mammals. Since there is an absence of data necessary for their protection or the level of management, data about for ecology and abundance of oine marten (Martes martes), stone marten (M. foina), western polecat (Mustela putorius), steppe polecat (M. eversmannii), weasel (M. nivalis) and stoat (M. erminea) were synthesized.
