SBRA method and the development of its application
295 This paper turns attention to the potential of the simulation based reliability assessment method SBRA, considering especially the durability assessment of steel structures. A fully probabilistic approach is demonstrated using two examples. A steel component is exposed to time dependent effects of corrosion and assessment of the accumulation fatigue damage.
Application of structure reliability method SBRA - steel frame containing leaning collums
Marek, Pavel ; Václavek, L.
Development of the simulation based probabilistic reliability assessment method SBRA includes the application of the method to the assessment of systems. The discust example is focused on the assessment of a frame containing leaning collums using elastic transformation model (second order theory) the reliability is expresed by comparing probability of failure and target probability.
Reliability Assessment of steel component of the structure exposed to all-directional wind load
Lokaj, A. ; Marek, Pavel
A steel component of a structure is assessed using SBRA method. The wind load is expressed by a wind rossete consisting of two histograms:one reffering to wind direction and the second to the wind speed duration. Using this two-component histogram the load effect is evaluated representing wind action in all directions.
Steel structures expose to extreme load effects. Application of the probabilistic reliability assessment SBRA
Václavek, L. ; Marek, Pavel
A planar steel frame exposed to several mutualy independent loads is assessed using probabilistic simulation based method SBRA. The arbitrary point in time aproach and extreme overload aproach are explained and applied.
Use of Simulation Based Reliability Assessment Method to Evaluate the Resistance of Composite Bridge Decks to Cracking
Tikalsky, P. ; Tepke, D. ; Marek, Pavel
The problems of cracks in a composite bridges are discust. The application of technology coresponding to the performance design can lead to significant reduction of cracks resulting in extension of the service life of the bridge.
Reliability assessment of structures exposed to dynamic load efects by SBRA method
Marek, Pavel ; Pustka, D.
The safety, serviceability and durability of structures exposed to dynamic response to the loading can be assessed using Simulation-Based Reliability Assessment Method, SBRA . Referring to selected examples the application of SBRA is briefly explained and its versatility is indicated.
Pathology of the steel structures
Marek, Pavel
Selected examples of structures failures.
Results of international coloquium Euro-Sibram 2002
Marek, Pavel
The purpose of the international coloquium was the future development of codes based on probabilistic reliability assessment method using simulation techniques.
Fifteen years of the development SBRA method
Marek, Pavel
Development of reliability assessment method SBRA in last fifteen years is reviewed. Basic information on the method are emphasized.
Application of reliability assessment method SBRA in the safety and serviceability assessment of structural systems
Marek, Pavel ; Pustka, D.
The Paper briefly describes the basic strategy used in pilot applications of SBRA method focused on reliability analysis of structural systems.
