Protection of Scots pines (Pinus sylvestris L.) against bark beetles in the Czech Republic

The occurrence of pseudogamous reproduction in the sharp-dentated bark beetle, Ips acuminatus, was studied in detail.

Economic importance of detected species in relation to forest protection is broadly discussed. The report includes comparative tests of pheromone traps baited with dispensers of various producers against bark beetle pests of Scots pines.
