Study of titanyl pthalocyanine and fluorene-thiophene copolymer thin films by the surface photovoltage method
Toušková, J. ; Toušek, J. ; Cimrová, Věra ; Pavlačková, Petra ; Remeš, Zdeněk
Thin films of titanyl phthalocyanine (TiOPc) and fluorene-thiophene copolymer (FIPT) were studied by the surface photovoltage method (SPV). Using modified SPV theory, exciton diffusion lengths and thicknesses of a space charge region (SCR) generated at the free surface were determined. Short drift lengths of the charge carriers in the SCR indicate high recombination. The recombination losses result in a lower photovoltage measured for illumination from the free surface side than that for illumination from the substrate side.
